Default 156 electrics - sense of humour required

> Boot microswitch......

Its called the 'Key FOB Receiver' and can be found under the false parcel
shelf in boot. Its about the size of a packet of fags...

First things first - try to pull the power first, leave it for a few minutes
and then plug back in. Now try the key right over it when all doors, and
boot is closed. Also check the fuse ain't blown - not sure which fuse it
is...

If you are still getting no luck, go and buy a new receiver unit. Prob about
£50-£60 from the main dealer but e-bay/google might have a cheaper one. Now
you will have to take the newly bought receiver unit to the dealers with
both your keys and get it re-synched to your key signal. no way around this
I am afraid they have to key into the computer and mess about with settings.

Its about a 30 min job - around £45 at Alfa...

In my experience Alfa will charge £60 to just diagnose the problem,
Charge you £60 for the unit
then charge you £45 to fit it
A grand total of £165

Where you could have it all done for about £70...

Jobs a good'un
