Default NHTSA scumbag after high powered cars

In "Muscle Car" magazine, they report that the NHTSA
is on the warpath against high horsepower.
NHTSA chief Jeffrey Runge, says he wants them to "go after
the high horsepower cars like Chrysler Hemis and 400hp Cadillacs."
Ah yes, despite having zero evidence that a car with high horsepower
causes more accidents or death than a runty little compact death trap
with 140hp, they just HAVE to throw the ravenious insurance industry
this bone. It's going to be just like the early 1970s when fuel and
insurance costs killed the muscle car outright. I wonder if Americans
are going to sit back and let themselves be raped by the insurance
agencies when this "initiative" gets going?
