Tires are 315-75-16 I will lower the pressure to 26psi see if it helps.

Have a `88 YJ with a 5" lift with 35" tires, it has Rancho shocks (6000 or
9000 don`t remember) and I have 35psi in the tires. When I bought the YJ the
previous owner had only the right sway bar...

Rear axle volume...
Talking about stupid! Checked my gas mileage, getting about 9mpg (a mix of
city+highway driving). Today I had a friend drive the jeep while I checked
in which position the NP231 selector gave power...

Rear axle volume...
No limited slip....it is a 88` 3speed auto w/a Jasper rebuilt (about 30,000
miles ago) 258-6 w/weber 2bbl, all the pollution stuff is gone, 5" lift and
35" on 16" rims...getting about 10 mpg,...

I just changed the 80w90 Gear oil in the rear axle on my 88` Wrangler. I
think it is a 35C...there is a little metal tag on one of the Axle bolts I
can only make out the C....anyway according to...

A question about rim size...
If I get a 225/75/16 or 205/75/16 will this be the same height as my
315/75/16? and what rim width will I need for this tire as a spare? or am I
way off base.

I just bought a `88 Wrangler with 315/75/16 tires. I don`t have a spare tire
so I need a spare. I know that I need a 16" rim, 5 bolt 4.5" but what rim
width do I need for a 315/75/16...
