Engine races on 1990 Honda

I know on the previous generation (86-89) this was a veeery common
culprit. 50 bucks at a yard, pliers, ratchet, maybe 20 minutes.

So you are telling me that's the fix????? Or what? I see no mention
(nor have I heard) of this idle/RPM problem in the suggested post. I

This is VERY COMMON. I've replaced mine at least twice (98 EX V6).
Clock backlight is another bad one to fail sooner than others.

1st I fixed it. Then 2 months later Honda issued their recall and I
had to go to the dealer and have them do the work to get reimbursed for
my part purchase. Now the damn thing is flaking out...

Double check the poster and me on this, please. I'm guessing they
moved this timer after 1989? I had same prob on a 89 Accord and it was
under one of the seats if I remem correctly.

Look for screws on the back of the horn pad/steering wheel to release
it. Just a hunch based on my on my 86 and 89 accords.

Yeah! try removing the trim strip by the door jamb closure on the
lower sill and look for wires. Might have to peel back some carpet to
the floor pan a little. I know there's wiring...

I still say remove and masssage the switch. I think I had a similar
problem in an 86. i had to take it apart and play with it and
sand/scuff/bend some things...maybe. i don't remember.

He means to say that the light that lets following/passing traffic see
your open door is only lit on the door in question. Only the open door
lights this light. They don't all go on on all 2/4...

MAIN RELAY failure...up inder your left toes under the dash. ...
