milage on xj

My experience with an `89 XJ and a `96 XJ, each with the 4.0L and auto
transmission, is that with normal routine care you should get about 18
to 20 mpg, unladen. Mileage goes up to about 22 on...

Where's my HORN???

If we're going _there_, let me just say that I think that all car alarms
should come with shock collars. Failure of the owner to not wear the
collar would be a felony.

It doesn't matter. You're still getting the protection of 30 weight oil
at normal summer temperatures, within the design life of the oil. For
more than you probably want to know about motor oil...

79 CJ5 decisions

I hadn't thought of that. For the `79 there's a fuel line that runs
down the right frame rail and a return line and a vent line that run
down the left frame rail. They're all steel and one could...

lemme know. I need `em.

79 CJ5 decisions

Front disk brakes were optional in 1977, standard equipment from 1978 up.

Pretty much everything on the CJ-5 remained unchanged from...

Do they sell one for his `88? I ask because I never could find one for
my `89 XJ. I didn't look but I suspect that there was no easy-to-get-to
connector to plug into.

can simply use a 6-pin trailer connector and wire it direct. One pair
for turn, one pair for stop and tail, just like his...

one does or looks like. ...
