I should have indicated that these are NOT multicylinder coil packs nor
individual coil packs but are the almost regular ign coils...

Car stalled at stop sign, now it won't start
What would be funny is if you only ran it out of gas!!!!
I have seen that more than a few times and it has almost stumped a few
mechanics too! ;-)

I have only worked on one Audi 100 for a crank sprocket problem but here are
my other experiences.....
I have been replacing some faulty ign. coils in 94-98 Jettas. The original
ign. coils fail...

When you have something as critical as the timing belt on an interference
engine, then it is a good idea to replace it as soon as you purchase the
vehicle.

Did you ever get the feeling that maybe you *****DON'T TAKE IT BACK**** to
the same people that are trying to mess up the VW. Leaving wheel lug bolts
hand tight is very poor quality "work"(?)...

It is probably the fuse box or the wiring near the fuse box. You can look
for burnt terminals at the fuse box wiring plugs.
Start following the ign coil power source wire from the ign. switch when...

CHANGE THAT FUEL FILTER!!!!!!
It might be clogged and will cause problems with pressure/volume and might
damage the fuel pump.
How long is a "lifetime"? I have changed a few that look like they...

Did the engine check light come on?
Might be the Throttle Body needs cleaning out. If you clean it about $6 for
the TB cleaner.

what would a dealer clutch adj. cost?
probably they will charge 0.5 hours although it might be 0.4 hours in the
book.
Labor rate here in Chicago is about $120 per hour.
And I doubt if the techs here even see air cooled Beetles in the...
