Barrels and pistons (duh)

Anyone remembers this?
Someone mentioned once a combination of
1800 heads and 2 liters barrels and pistons.
(or was it the other way?)
Anyway, to get more power.
True?

If you mean the type 4 engine, then the 1800cc stock heads are better.
They have larger valves than the 2 liter heads.

I built my 2 liter T4 with 1.8 heads.

Would think you'd want the 2.0L crank and rods too - for the longer stroke.

Do the 1800 (S) and 2000 (G) heads have the same combustion chamber
volume? (55cc)

I notice the combustion chamber shape is different, and the piston
dish have different volumes.
