Question for those rejected by First-Racing , as was I.

I think I was rejected for saying that I prefer oval racing to road
racing on the initial beta test survey.
Would the others who have been rejected and those who dare if you have
been accepted (I liked the golden ticket analogy...just having watched
Willie Wonka with my son..it was very funny.) please post what you answered.
I think if you answered oval you didn't get in. Which would suggest that
the game is going to be a road race game. I think that is not too much
of a surprise. The next question would be, what sort of road racing
game. If they are going for a license, and what we have heard about them
wanting to do a "car" sim are true, then perhaps we will see a Speed
World Challenge type of sim. Basically stock cars of various sorts on
road course. Of course this is wild speculation, but I think it would be
cool.

Calm down.

I didn't answer oval racing, yet I wasn't chosen. And I've got the
experience. But it might be 'cause I'm crazy, eh.

Calm Down?
Please, this is the best thing to happen to sim racing rumour mongering
since the WEst Brothers. What else is there to do except wildly
speculate about what the sim will be, and what color wheels the cars
will have...if they even are cars. Perhaps it will be a hover boat
sim..... or a snowmobiles on land sim... who knows...

Honestly, I'd say the most likely reason for their choices/rejections a

1) They went through all not completely ridiculous applications, gave
'em all an ID, then had a random number generator pull IDs until they
filled the pool

2) Went for non hardcore-simmers as they already knew where they were
going with that. They're probably looking for sales, which,
unfortunately, means finding out how to appeal to the non-hardcore-sim
crowd as well. ISI has been doing pretty well on the sim aspect, but
after the commercial flop that F1C seems to have been (I have to assume
it was one, since you can't even find it in stores anymore), so they're
probably trying to figure out how they can match the sames of games like
Gran Turismo.
