'93 Dodgem Caravan Instrument Panel
My ’93 Dodge Caravan has 200,000 miles. Yesterday morning when I started
the car, the red seat belt off warning light came on for no reason, and then the “Check Gages” light on the instrument panel came on, and the entire rest of the instrument panel was dead. I recycled the ignition and the problem persisted. I disconnected/reconnected the battery and the problem persisted. The “gauges” fuse is OK. The odometers don’t work. The windshield wiper intermittent doesn’t work, but the regular speeds do work. The tailgate remote release and the auto door lock doesn’t work |
(cont) Is there a relay that has gone bad? The problem has come and gone
three times in the past few months, the latest being last weekend. The instrument panel came back to life on its own, but this time it is still dead. Do I need to take it to a dealer to get an analysis? or is this a common fault with some circuitry where I can replace a fuseable link or some relay? |
