That it is, but there is something curious to me.

When looking up a part for a 545i, and drilling down to the production date,
they have production dates for the USA E60 that start in February of
2002.....I don't think they sold them here until September of 2003

Does BMW start building these cars (production models) that early, a year
and a half out, before release?

This was a big help in identifying the parts that I need. I would have
never guessed that the main part that I was looking for is called a sound
protection cap, thanks for your help.
