rear-ended while parked--what to look for by
zanzuz
My parked Honda '05 Coupe got rear-ended while parked and it shifted
forward 3-4 feet into the back of another car. My car drove home fine,
but the next day, it started making a squealing/hissing sound in the
front. The sound only happened when it was in drive, reverse or
neutral. Do you know...

RPM goes extremely high when in Neutral? by
Zaks
When running, no problem. When in neutral (class released), RPM goes
tremendously high. I usually have to turn off the ignition and turn back
on to move on about a feet in STOP signs.
It only happens in Summer and when the engine is already hot (Engine
Temperature is normal though).
Please tell...

Still the '90 Civic by
Zakatak
Hey there, I am still having the same problem with my civic and can not
figure it out.
When the car is cold, it acts OK for a short while. A little driving
quickly brings the problem back. The car will spit and sputter and have
severe power loss. Sometimes once it is over 3000 rpm it will kick...

Some vibration of Crankshaft pulley, 94 accord lx by
zachb
I bought this accord 5 months ago with only 93k. I changed the front
engine mount since it caused vibration at idling. I also changed timing
belt, water pump and all three drive belts 1 month ago. Now the car
runs fine although at idling there is still some vibration. Since it's
much better than...

jack points by
z4869375
I bought a hydraulic trolley jack and a couple of jack stands. Can I
jack up the car anywhere along the edge or must I use the jack points
near the front and rear wheels/fenders?
Ultimately I want to do my own oil changes, so I need to jack up the
car, then place the jack stands underneath.

Honda CR-V 2003: can the 12 volt outlet be 'always on'? by
Z Man
In my CR-V, the 12 volt outlet (which in the old days was used for a
cigarette lighter) is not powered when the vehicle is not powered. I have a
GPS unit that plugs into the 12 volt outlet, and maintains certain
information when powered. If I stop for a moment to go into a store, for
example, and...

Using a trickle charger - any rules on this? by
y_p_w
So here's the deal. The car is a Honda Civic with a group 51 battery
(Kirkland Signature from Costco if that helps). Every once in a while
the battery is heavily drained because a light (map light or headlamp)
was left on. I do find it annoying that there is no headlight-on
warning chime or...

Door open/closed sensor - 2003 Honda Civic - how does it work? by
y_p_w
So I got around to fixing the door jamb switch on a 2003 Honda Civic
LX. I think since it was sold new, the little plunger switch was
never properly connected. There's this rubber/metal cover that
protects it from the outside. The switch has what looks to be a
ground connection via three prongs...

My tires were marked with a UTQG traction rating of A. I
noticed that the sidewall picture in the dealer pamhplet...

Hi, I have a 2004 Honda CR-V and I want to change its engine oil by myself.
I did-it-myself on my previous car (1993 Hyundai Elantra), but it was long
time ago. It would be appreciated if you answer the following questions;
1. What tools do I need?
2. Is there any special tip(s) to make it...

I got my Civic worked on the other day and when I picked it up the code
message was displaying. I don't have the sticker with my code on it
and I was wondering if I replaced the factory stereo with an
aftermarket stereo would it work without the code? Might be a stupid
question but I need to...

My new Odyssey can open the tailgate (trunk) all the way up to higher
than the roof. It touches the top frame of my garage door. Is there a

In summer, I like to roll down the window a little bit to keep the

aux audio input for 2006 accord SE by

For my 2006 Accord SE sedan: Does Honda make an accessory to give me
audio system an aux input? You know, so I can play an ipod through it.
I went to the Honda site and it showed nothing. (Did I miss it?)
Investigating replacing the factory installed 6-CD changer--but no aux
in and no mp3...
