insurance recommendations by
cdotspace
I have a 1978 Alfa Romeo. The previous owner suggested getting
insurance from J. C. Taylor. Does anyone have experience with them?
Does anyone recommend anyone else?
The car is garaged, driven only for pleasure, not to work or shopping.

Insurance Repairs have no warranty? &%-! by
Car Advocate
I just found out at www.claimsreporter.com that apparently most Insurance company policies require the use of certified factory parts for collision repairs. Kids, don't try this without mad skills by
Ad absurdum per aspera
The "Marquis de Soto" is a piece of work (and some of his taillight/
headlamp/other chrome found object sculptures are pretty cool too)...

LaFrance Fire Trucks by
[email protected]
Does anyone out there know where I might locate a '29 - '40 Fire Truck
with a Lycoming Straight Eight ( 8 ) engine. I'm interested in complete
trucks or drive trains only. Also would like to know if anyone has any
documentation on what transmissions were used during this period of
time.
Thanks

Lancia Delta by
Nicolas D.
Hi,
A friend of mine owns a Lancia Delta (1980). The motor is OK (less than
80000km), and lots of pieces are in good condition. My friend intends to
give it. The other alternative is destruction. :(
Maybe someone (in France or Italy) may be interested ? More details on
demand.
Regards,

Largest Ford ever? by
james_anatidae
I'm was wondering what the largest car (not truck) that FoMoCo ever mass
produced. I'm guessing the answer is the styling travesty that is the '58
Lincoln, but wouldn't rule out the 70's Mark IVs. And an honorable mention
probably goes to the those County Squire station wagons.
