2000 Mazda Protege: No brake lights!! Why? by
[email protected]
Was stopped by a woman today who told me that my brake
lights were not working. There are three of them and
NONE are working!
I cant imagine all three bulbs going out at same time
so checked for any blown fuses but they looked OK to
me.
So.... it has to be a relay or maybe switch in the
brake...

2001 SE Wheels by
Geary Morton
Does anyone out there happen to know if the 5-spoke SE wheels that came
on a 2001 are polished or plated? I have a chance to pick up a set at a
good price. Haven't seen them yet, but if there are cosmetic issues,
I'm wondering how restorable they are, e.g. polished can possibly be
re-buffed,...

Newbie by
TRCSr
Hello All,
I just purchased a 2009 Miata MX-5 with retractable hardtop. This is
the first roadster I have had since the 70's when I had an Austin
Healy 3000. I have been a member of the Chev Tracker group for many
years, but as soon as I sell that little gem I will be dropping out of
the group. I...

Is Ford's new EcoBoost engine a Mazda in disguise? by
Auto_Writer
Ford Motor Co. that it will offer a four-cylinder EcoBoost engine for
some of its vehicles starting next year, an effort to provide greater
fuel economy to consumers without compromising on horsepower. But is
it a Ford engine or really a Mazda MZR with a Ford nameplate?

living the life of an English roadster owner by
johnny p.
....oh yeah baby I'm livin the HIGH LIFE now.
Now it seems my heater core has done sprung a leak. I've seen leaking
heater cores in various cars three or four times in the past. Usually
it's some kind of imperceptible pinhole somewhere, where the only
visible symptom is that the coolant level in...

Where's the rub? by
Christopher Muto
I have a brake related rubbing sound coming from my rear driver side wheel.
It changes with speed and can be suppressed by pulling on the emergency
brake so it is definitely is coming from the rear. I had thought I my two
year / 15k mile rotor might have become warped so I installed new rear...

Denouement... by

So you may recall that I wrote a post asking for advice about the cost
of a complete bodywork makeover for my '90 Miata...
....and a fat lot of good you all were. ;-)
I thought you might like to hear the outcome:
The body shop, Rich City Collision (I now heartily recommend them to all
who are...

Yokohama S-Drive vs. Toyo T1-R? by
johnny p.
Hello group!
I'm getting close to the end of my second set of 195-50-15 T1-Rs on the
mighty LISPmobile (my '99), and I thought I'd have a look at some of the
other summer tires that are out there. I live in Tampa so I don't care
about cold-weather performance at all, but I do put a pretty...

Drivers mirror question 06 mx5 by
Wendy
Hello. The drivers side mirror on my wifes 06 MX-5 was broken at the store
the other day. The mirror is intact, not broken off the body, but the glass
part is loose inside the housing. The mirror motor can move it up and down,
but not side to side. You can manually move it (the glass) side to...

6th gear change 2005 MazdaSpeed? by
bowman
How practical would it be for someone who knows transmissions to
change 6th gear in my 2005 MX-5 to be more of a highway overdrive
gear, say 2500 rpm at 60mph rather than stock 3000 rpm. Seems such a
waste of rpms to be cruising along at 3000 rpm when my 2001 Eldorado
can do it at 1500 rpm and get...

fs block and head by
peter
hi guys,
i have a block and head from my 95 for sale.
it is excellent to have the "new" motor ready to install rather than
having to pull the old motor and waiting for it to be machined etc.
the head is probably usable asis but the block would need to be
machined. i am in the middle of...
