EGR Valve by
clayton6870
I have a 2001 Explorer Sport.. The Engine light came on and I had it
tested at Autozone and found out it means the "EGR flow is
insufficient". I cleaned the EGR valve and had the code reset. Well the
engine light came back on. Any other things I can try????

99 XLT steering making noises by
TandT
When I turn steering eather way it makes horrible squeeling/grinding
sounds. Got out of car and pussed down on front right finder and makes
creeking sounds like metal on metal. Was told to lub bushings and see if
it works. Being a woman I am curious if this really works and grease it
and no noise....

Clicking in dirver's side rear wheel well by
tmy13
I started my 2002 XLT this morning and heard a clicking noise coming
from the driver's side rear wheel well. It sounds like someone
pressing the unlock button when the doors are already unlocked. It has
been quite cold lately and I have used the 4x4 a few times over the
past week.
Any ideas what...

cold weather starting problems by
billc
MY 1994 Ford Explorer won't start when it gets cold outside. Fuel
pressure was checked and is fine.It seems to start ok when the weather
is warm, but as it grows colder it gets progressively harder to start.
When it was down to approximately 10 degrees it would not start at all.
As soon as I put it...

Dies while driving2 - the whole story - so far by
BryanS
I am experiencing grief from my 95 Explorer Limited 4.0 V6. It’s got @
150,000 miles. It was about 130,000 miles when the Check Engine initially
came on and began intermittently. No consistencies as to what was causing
it. At first it wouldn’t come on until several hours into a long trip or
at...

99 Explorer-Airbag dash light by
retired828
After starting the engine, the dash airbag light goes off, then flashes 3
times, then flashes 6 times and does this thru 6 cycles and then the
airbag light stays on continously. When you start the engine the next
time, the above cycle repeats. Anyone help with the cause and cure? Thank
you

2002 rear end whine by
Paul Fidler
Anything new on this? I can only find old posts. Mines getting worse
at 74,000 miles.
Has it led to any rear ends failing?

New Cross Terrains louder? by
HerkyJerky
2002 Explorer. Got 55K miles out of the original set and very happy
with them. Never noisy for an SUV tire. Just bought a new set and
they are much louder. Like an aggressive truck tire. I don't recall
any significant sound when new on the first set.
Has anyone gone with replacement Cross...

I bought 98 explorer, ran perfect for 3 or for days then in the morning
it would not start, it would start up and then if you hit the gas it
would die, then it would turn over fine but not start. Could it be the

Clutch Fluid Leak by
shawk
I took my 96 Explorer to the shop to have them look at the clutch. They told
me the fluid was leaking and they'd have to pull the transmission in order to
correct the problem. Price tag... $500? Is it necessary to drop the
transmission to fix a clutch fluid leak?
