G85 Fuel by PolicySpy[_3_]
The EPA is considering 15% ethanol in gasoline up from 10% ethanol for car years 2007 and newer... Well, ethanol is corrosive, has less octane than gasoline, gets less fuel mileage than gasoline, and likely would only be an efficient fuel in an engine with a different operating temperature than...

Will Chrysler still do the lifetime ABS recall? by sctvguy1[_2_]
My beautiful 1991 New Yorker 5th Avenue is starting to show the symptoms of the infamous Bendix 10 ABS problem. It only has 80K miles and had the recall done back in 1996 and again in March of this year! I know that two items are supposed to be for life, but will Chrysler continue to fix these...

Replacing Tacoma 75 profile Tires with 70? by Josh[_8_]
My 2003 4x2 extended cab Tacoma's original 205r75/15 Goodyear Wrangler tires have 51k and will need replacing before the next state safety inspection. That's NOT an easy size to find. Seems most of the ones I've looked at are models that have poor customer reviews or else they're brands I've...

Power window on 2004 Jeep Liberty by GARY
The glass on the right front window has intermittently stopped going UP when I use the switch on the console. (If I continue fiddling with the switch, the glass will/may eventually go up). Is this a problem with the switch, the window regulator and/or other mechanism?

Dirty power steering fluid: This a scam? by [email protected]
When I take my car to local tire and car repair shop to have the oil changed, they always check my power steering fluid and come back with a "sample" of it in a special device that sucks up my fluid in one side and compares it to CLEAN power steering fluid in another side. I always tell them NOT...

Volt IS a hybrid by Don Stauffer
There have been articles saying that the Chevy Volt is not a hybrid because the IC engine is never connected to the wheels. Wrong- it is a series hybrid. There are two varieties of hybrid, the parallel and the series hybrid. The parallel hybrid usually has the IC driving the wheels, electric...
