Cleaning EGR valve 2003 Odyssey by [email protected]
I have the infamous problem with the EGR valve on my van. I know I can bring it to the dealer to get it fixed, but is there a way I can just remove it and clean it? It seems very easy to remove, but do I need to replace the gasket? Nobody but the dealer sells this gasket.

Windshield Repair by Elle
Got a couple of bad, approx. 6-inch cracks in my 1991 Civic LX's lower dr. side windshield tonight, emanating from a quarter size mash mark, presumably from a rock hitting the car at relatively low speed. Sounded like a bullet. Darn. From many years ago, there are also two dime size mash marks...

Advice on 96 Civic pushrod problem by planetx
Hello,,,,I am not an expert on cars, so wanted a bit of advice. Took my 96 civic(117k miles) to the dealer regarding a thunking in the engine, pretty much only when going up a very steep hill and in 2nd gear. I was told it was probably the cv joints and/or axle. Well after a diagnostic they said I...

Hybrids: Single-Driver Lanes by Jason
I saw an article in the newspaper yesterday indicating that they are passing a law in California allowing owners of Hybrid vehicles to use "single-driver" lanes. Brock Yates, in his article that appeared in the Sept. 2005 issue of "Car and Driver" indicated that other states also allow the owners...

Gas mileage question by Elroy
I have one question, 2 different models of honda to apply it to. I have a 2005 crv ex and my wife has a 2005 civic lxg. What I want to know is, what is the "sweet spot" for highway cruising that will give the best gas mileage? I haven't paid much attention until the recent spike in gas prices, but...

tire shine residue by Bucky
Whenever I try to use tire shine, I get residue on the body panels behind the tires after driving. I'm using Eagle brand tire shine, and I usually scrub the tires with a brush first to get the dirt off, rinse, then spray the tire shine on the tire and use a tire swipe sponge to even it out. Any...

95 H22A Problem by Ross Cranford
I've got a 95 H22A and it has an intermittent problem where it "Spits & Sputters" from time to time. There are times the car is great and there are other times when I press on the gas and the RPM's decrease instead of increase, or accelerates very slowly with "misfire" happening quite bad. To try...

some days, i'm especially glad i drive a honda by jim beam
on the way home the other evening, a jeep i was following shed a rear wheel. this was not one of those negligent "didn't tighten the lug nuts" accidents, but one of those unavoidable "axle fatigued and broke off" types. i've seen this kind of thing on detroit iron a number of times, but never...

2005 Civic pulls left on acceleration...why? by Nobody
It brakes straight, but there is a definite tendency to the left and I don't mean just on hard acceleration. Is this alignment or something else? Tire or dragging brakes?

2000 Civic EX Cruise Control Issue by pjb1997
I am on a quest to buy a pre-owned Civic. Today I test drove a 2000 Civic EX Coupe, 5 speed, with about 90,000 miles on it. It was at a small but reputable car lot in the town where I live. The car looked clean, inside and out, and they were asking $8,900. The salesman let me drive it off the lot...
