2008 Accord EX-L Sedan by
alfred[_3_]
Hi,
I went to look at Accords at a dealer yesterday. Looks like they can offer
me a fairly good deal. I would be trading in my 3 year old car for a 2008
EX-L Sedan auto. Then put down $1,500.00 I noticed a couple of things. The
Accords no longer have LED tail lights, and the back seat area is...

Experience with OBD-II (on-board diagnostics scanner) by
w
If anyone has had any experience with this tool, I would really appreciate
it if you could share it with me. A friend of mine is planning on buying
this scanner and I was wondering if it is worth the investment.
Thanks!

2008 Honda Accord Whistle Noise by
[email protected]
I recently purchased a 2008 Honda Accord, v6 and really like the car,
but the wind whistle noise is really loud. Before I picked up the car
I had the dealer install the sun roof wind visor and the 4 window
visors.
I did not drive this particular car before purchasing it, I had the
dealer locate...

What is this noise? by
NB
I drove over a pothole today, and immediately after that, I heard
something rolling around -- sounded like it came from inside the
dashboard, right behind the steering wheel. I heard the rolling sound
a few more times, when I made turns. Any idea what that could be?
The car (a 97 Accord) seems to...

Which Car is a Wiser Buy? by
Dean Jann
I'm replacing a '92 Ford Taurus (122,000 miles) with a Honda Accord.
Which of these two pre-owned Accords (all else being equal) is the wiser
buy?
Choice one: 2002 Accord, 93,986 mi for $11,995.
Choice two: 1992 Accord, 54,659 mi for $4,990.
Both vehicles check out good on Carfax.

Quick newbie question before servicing. by
[email protected]
Sending my car into a independent garage to have the timing belt and
water pump changed out at 100k.
Dont know a thing about engines so wondering, what are the other belts
in a standard honda civic 2001. Should they be replaced at the same
time?

air compressor by

How hard would it be for a non-experienced person to replace the air
compressor on his Honda Accord 1995 model? I am fairly broke, and the
compressor is shot.

EX-L V6. I'm seriously considering it. Must sell my PRISTINE 2006 EX-L V6

Odd flapping when cranking by
sharx333
Hello, my 95 ESi (Civic 1.6L SOHC non-vtec D16 variant), hasn't been
used for a few months, but I warm it up every few days. Recently,
there has been an odd shuddering sound when cold, and gradually
disappears when the EACV kicks in and it has idled for about 2
minutes.
Today I cranked it but it...

J vin versus 1 vin? by
alfred[_3_]
I heard that accords with the "J" vin number being made in japan are more
rare and more in demand. Any truth to that? Mine has a "J" vin number, so it
was built in japan as opposed to Ohio.

Honda timing belt tension by
[email protected]
I just replaced the timing belt on my 2000 Honda Accord and it sort of
runs OK. I am not sure I did it 100% right. There is grinding noise
from the timing belt teeth now and then when the engine runs slowly. I
drove the car to work today on the highway and it runs fine when the
engine is up to...
