Cheap Gas Cap on L300! by [email protected]
The gas cap on my L300 has to be one of the cheapest gas caps ever. Mine will not even stay on right! Does anyone know where I might be able to get a replacement gas cap, preferably a locking one? Thanks!!

L300 wagon rumble by Art
My father bought a new L300 wagon with the V6 a few months ago. Nice car but the only thing I find obnoxious about it is the engine rumble when idling. Changing to neutral doesn't affect it. Turning off the ac doesn't change it either. It is a very loud low pitch hum thru out the car at...

Servise Engine Soon - After rain by AnthonyS
On my 96 SL the "Service Engine Soon" comes on after a heavy rain. After the car runs awhile (I guess until the wet area dries) the car will restart with no trouble light. The leak is most likely a clogged drain allowing water to drip down the fire wall or other spot. Has anyone found and solved...

Horn Installation on SL2 97' by BR
Hello, I have a 97' I am trying to install a new horn on. The original horn stopped working and I am replacing the horn with an air horn. Just wondered if anyone has done anything similiar with the horn. There are three wires to work with. Not sure what to do with the extra wire. I assume one wire...

2003 ION front turn signal/marker light by NoSetFine
MELTED! I thought it just bunrned out, followed the directions to pull the bulb - only the glass came off in my hands, leaving the base of the bulb firmly *welded* to the socket assembly... digging it out broke the socket! The other side is now looking the same - you can see it has already...

Suggested repairs by Girmann
Since my '99 SL2 has been going strong for 6 years with no major problems (2 sets of front discs, 1 set of rear drums, 2 sets of motor mounts, 4 tires) and I'm about to hit 100k this week, I took it into the dealership to get a once over to see what they thought I needed. Since I haven't had to do...

2001 "S" series? by Joe[_6_]
I think that's what it is. 57,000 miles. Very good buy to me if I choose to get it. Any issues like the 1995 "oil burner" I've got now or something similar that would make me want to avoid this car? Joe in Northern, NJ - V#8013-R Currently Riding The "Mother Ship"

98 SL1 drinking oil by Adam Stouffer
My wife's Saturn is drinking oil like mad. It has 118k miles and used up exactly one quart on a 400 mile trip yesterday. Now thats just too damn much for a days worth of driving. I should not have to add oil and gas at the same ratio. Doing some searching says the PCV valve could be at fault....

2002 VUE Front windshield wash by Vince Brophy
I have a 2002 VUE. The front windshield washer control appears to be temperature sensitive. When below freezing and I pull the lever to clean the windshield, either: - nothing happens 80% of the time or - wipers move as designed 15% of the time or - miniscule amount of windshield cleaner makes it...

Synthetic Oil Questions by Gary
Do you think Saturn would kill my warranty if I wanted to use a synthetic or part synthetic oil like Mobil 1 or Clean 7500? I have the 2005 ION QC (not redline) and the manual is pretty explicit on regular oil, but I want to have this car last a good long time and the Clean 7500 is less than $3...

Cracked Cylinder Head on 1994 SL1 by Loretta
My SL1 has a cracked cylinder head at 73,000 miles. The repair will cost over $2000! This problem occurs often in 1994 - 1996 Saturns and the warranty was extended by Saturn because of the defect. However, my car is 10 years old and out of the extended 6 yr. warranty. Has anyone had Saturn pay for...

Hi, I have a 1996 Saturn SC2, 100K miles. I need to replace two of my bulbs in the spoiler brake light. When I purchase the bulbs, do they come in those plastic holders, or do the bulbs pop out of the holders, and the bulbs sold seperatly? Also, how many oxygen sensors does my car have? I see...

Brilliant, How long did it take you to find that part? It worked perfectly. You saved me an alot of time and money. Thank You. To save time on widdling I used a vise grip and a pair of pliers to smooth down the outer ring. I simply turned it back and forth until it was the proper size to fit in...
