My car has enough Antifreeze (green one) in the radiator but little above the min. mark in the tank. I read Elle's post and thought to top it up and contacted Honda dealer to get the Antifreeze. They said they no longer sale the green one anymore. They sell the blue one. I asked whether I need...

2001 Accord using Oil by Honda Owner 2001 Accord
I have a 2001 Accord EX, 4 Cyl, 5-speed with 115,000 miles. Recently I have been using a quart of oil every 750 miles. I have changed the oil regularly with 5w-20w oil every 6,000 miles since it was new. It is not leaking under the hood or onto the ground. It doesn't smoke either. Is this a...

Replacing rear hatch strut (92 Civic Si) by Jon
For a '92 Civic Si I need to replace the rear hatch struts and the associated fittings in the glass hatch. (This appears to be not an uncommon problem for that model.) Specifically, the threads on the strut bolts literally stripped out of the glass hatch strut fittings, and the struts are now...

Manually upgrading Honda Civic by [email protected]
I have a Honda Civic 2005 Value Package and I want to manually install keyless entry and power locks. Are there any kits out there that can let me accomplish this? I want to do this myself but I've never modded a car before. Are there any sites that have packages for other mods for Civics as well?

Craftsman timing lights--which one? by Abeness
Sears offers two "heavy duty" timing lights, one for $50 and one for $70. The description of the more expensive one notes "0-60 degree advance scale for more accurate and easy timing measure". Is this a useful feature, worth another $20? Or will the $50 one be sufficient? I've never checked timing...

Protector Plus? by Drew
I saw this on my Civic invoice. Anyone know what, exactly, this is? It cost $289 whatever it is. I'm going to ask the dealer about it but thought it a good idea to get a second opinion here. TIA, Drew

Accord's Michelin tires are poorly made by kr
2005 Accord with Michelin "Energy" high-gas-mileage tires, 5000 miles on the odometer. One tire develops a crack in the sidewall. I called the 800 number on the warrantee pamphlet and was told that it was caused by a road hazard. If dry asphalt is a hazard, then he's right. I guess I didn't...
