Can anyone give the part number for a colder plug than a AC/DELCO R44LTS. Long story short... I want to switch to a colder plug to troubleshoot the pinging in my Explorer 94. Thanks, Sam in Raleigh.

'02 Explorer Broken Speaker wiring LF Door by wth
For the past few months, the wiring leading into the drivers door has broken (LF door speaker doesn't work, everything else still works ok). For a while, I could open the door and bend/push/twist the wire harness between the body and door, and get the speaker to work. Now it's completely dead....

Replacing factory CD Player, 05 Explorer by [email protected]
I'm taking out the factory CD player in my explorer. I've read that you have to pretty much pry off the piece of plastic surrounding all the controls but can't really find a good place to start it. Any tips on getting it off without breaking it!?! Thanks, Gavin

A/C repair for a 98 Explorer by EMac
The A/C in a 98 Explorer will not send out cold air. It just blows out hot air. When I take the car to a A/C repair shop, what should I expect? Would adding freon solve the problem? Does the compressor need to be replaced? What A/C repairs can a person expect from a car with 67K miles? All...

'97 Explorer Strange Starting Problem by Ulysses
I'm having a problem with my '97 (4.0 OHV). It seemed like the longer it sat the longer it was taking to start when cranking the engine. I thought it was a fuel problem but a few days ago it wouldn't start at all. I checked for spark with a timing light and NO SPARK. I can hear the fuel pump...

Rear shock absorbers and self levelling suspension by Neill
The ride on my well serviced 1998 Explorer has become extremely harsh. The car has 60,000 and no known faults. The suspension light is not on. Has anyone the schematics for the self levelling and rear shock absorbers? Can anyone suggest a fault tracing strategy? Many thanks, Neill.

I bought a Ford In-Dash 6 DISC CD changer for my 2000 Explorer sport. Everything seemed to work fine except... the CD player says "slots full" . Well there are no CD's in the player and if you try and eject it shows "initializing" on the display then says "CD Error". Tried it a dozen different ways...

Thinking of PATS drives me NUTS (longish) by Happy Traveler
The PCM in my '98 Expy (Limited, V8, AWD, if this makes any difference) has developed an intermittent short to ground on the IAT input. No, it's not the sensor, the connector or the wire harness - it's really inside the box. A brief occasional intake air temperature reading of 700 degrees (or...

1993 Mazda Navajo 4x4 by RLG
Recently when I turn a corner, the car continues to pull in that direction. It may pull a mile, or even 5. Eventually it quits pulling. If I turn another corner in the other direction, it pulls that way. Strong pull. I suspect it is whatever makes it come back to center that is not working right....
