replacing rubber deck lock sheets on hardtop by
Don[_7_]
I have to replace the rubber seals on the two chrome assemblies that go over
the Frankenstein bolts. I have the two new parts and they have rubber
extrusions that go into holes on the bracket to hold the gasket in place.
However, I have no information on whether some form of glue or sealing...

Coolant boiling off in overflow by
[email protected]
OK, I couldn't find anyone with exactly this problem, so I thought I'd
post.
I have a 1994 Miata with 155k miles. I live in North Central Texas.
I noticed that my coolant overflow was showing up low or empty rather
frequently, with none of the usual signs of coolant leakage, etc.
I then noticed...

Brake and Rotor questions by
[email protected]
I have searched the past posts but still have some questions.
What is the avg mileage for brakes and rotors before they need
replacing? I realize this varies but is there a ball park number?
Is it better to do the rear first or front first or does it even
matter?
Does the type of rotor matter? ...

Mazda Miata parts dealer online? by
my_two_cent
I have a local Mazda dealer that refuses to sell me simple parts
without ordering them. The excuse is that they don't have the parts in
stock, but I'm sure their own mechanics have everything they need. The
last straw was when I asked for four bolts, the kind on the
transmission pan and many other...

2001 Horn Replacement Info by
Karl North
Hello All,
Maggie Mae (My '01 Miata) and I have been getting along quite well as of
late. We just drove from South Louisiana to Flagstaff Arizona and back. That
was a beautiful and truly enjoyable trip.
I have been doing quite a bit of research on replacement horns. I decided
against air...

Is the alternator the first thing to go at 120K? by
Chris Rennix
I've had a wonderful Miata experience since 1999. I've not had a single
mechanical thing go wrong. I did replace the weatherstripping at around
30K and I've had my share of poor mechanics at the multi-car
dealerships. You know, the ones that have a special Mazda desk to make
you think that...
