Loss of coolant by Steve[_61_]
My 1998 Mountaineer 5.0, AWD with 120,000 miles is loosing coolant. I can leave the car in the driveway for 4-5 hours and no leak. However, each morning I can see small puddles on the garage floor. I am unable to locate the leak visually. Also, I have used a pressure tester and it holds 15 PSI...

I've got a '96 Ford Explorer V8 2WD. I parked it for lunch and now it will crank but will not start. There is no fuel pressure on the fuel rail / schrader valve. I've checked all of the fuses. I've replaced the fuel relay. Still no joy. Now suspect fuel pump. Any other suggestions? If it...

Coolant Leak by The Wolf
I just changed the coolant in my 2001 Explorer. Now the drain plug on the radiator leaks slightly but only when I turn on the heat. Does anyone know why it would do that. I bought a new drain plug today and will try putting it on tomorrow.

1994 Ford Explorer A4LD Tranny problem by Jimmy the Hand
Hi All, Out of the blue on Friday, my Explorer stopped shifting into overdrive (at least I think that is what happened). I used to get up to about 80km/h and then the RPMs would drop from 2000 to about 1400 and then even out around 2000 at 100km/h. When I'm driving highway speeds, I find that I...

oil pressure gauge question by [email protected]
I just bought a 98 Explorer Sport. The oil pressure gauge reads exactly dead center all the time the engine is running, whether at 600RPM or 4000RPM. Is this normal? This is my first Ford and I every other car I've owned showed some fluctuation in oil pressure with varying engine speed. Thanks in...
