Squeeze / pinch the oil-pipe closed (why didn't they listen to me?) by MoPar Man
Remember how I said, about a week after the oil rig was sunk by a torpedo fired by a North Korean mini-sub, that they should pinch the oil-pipe closed between a pair of hydraulically-operated roller pins? Why didn't they listen to me? So now they're going to cut it wide open (presumably near the...

I have a 2003 Concorde and my GPS power unit came apart in the Cigarette Lighter power socket and killed it. I can not find where the fuse is in the owners manual or by looking at the car. Any idea how to fix it? Thanks Gary

2008 Grand Caravan starting problem by QX[_2_]
2008 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT, 4.0 with trailer package. For the first 20,000 miles, I had absolutely no problems with starting. At about 22,000, I was sitting in the van waiting for my wife to come out of a doctor's appointment. I had one LED reading lamp and the REN radio on Sirius. After...

VID: CHRYSLER rip off Speak and Spell 4 the 1986 New Yorker by JLA
The 1986 Chrysler New Yorker was a futuristic talking cars. Now it seems that years later someone has put 2+2 together and discovered the Pentastar luxury barge sounds a lot like a Speak & Spell. See the video below where the two similarly-voiced units a chance to get to know each other. Speak &...

Rise of the Minivan by TicTac
(Car Lust Blog) - The minivan we all know and love (or loathe) today did not simply pop into existence. The story of how the North American minivan came to be is actually a long and complicated one, wrapped up in the story of vans and commercial vehicles in general, with a few twists and turns...

Why can't they close the oil pipe that's leaking oil? by MoPar Man
I understand that the pipe that's leaking oil in the gulf right now is what's left of the pipe that runs from the ocean floor to the oil platform. Why can't they devise a hydraulically-operated occluder (say, a couple of roller pins) and get that down to the well head and squeeze the pipe closed?

'00 Intrepid stalling out by LarryK
Hi - My wife's 2000 Intrepid 2.7 V-6 has recently developed a stalling-out issue. At low speed, like in a parking lot, the car will occasionally shut itself off. Oil light comes on. She puts it into Park, and can start up the engine fine, although it might run rough for a bit and then it...

Yesterday, my wife and I purchased an Avenger SXT, a great car. Quiet, rides smooth, the 2.4L engine/4sp transmission works great. This is the first new car that I can actually see the hood when setting in the driver's seat! I hate not being able to see the hood of the car. Chrysler is...

1996 Concorde by GrtArtiste
Am waiting on a quote from my NAPA mechanic, but I'd like to ask here as a comparison. What would be a fair price to replace the timing belt on the 3.5 V6 engine? This is assuming that there are no unusual difficulties encountered. The vehicle currently has more than 156,000 miles....

Lag and engine lurch when maintaining speed on level road - 2001 T&CAWD 3.8 - by Luke[_3_]
Hello, When I'm coasting along at any speed (usually over 30) on a level surface and give enough throttle just to keep my speed up the engine lags and lurches as if its running out of gas or getting some kind of vapor lock. The tac bounces up and down by 500 rpms. It's as if the engine is going...
