Ion, 15K, Needs A Boost by Matt hotmail
check the oil, maybe use synthetic and a good filter. I use Mobil synthetic and filter (don't yell at me I'm just telling you what I use). I would also switch to a synthetic in the manual transmission. good luck "Teem" > wrote in...

Does this seem right..? by Elector
Ten days ago I went to the Saturn dealership in Albany New York and had the 60,000 mile service. This was an oil change, a transmission flush and fill, lube all doors and what ever else they said came with that service. At the same time they said the motor mounts were bad and I had them replaced...

Noisy front wheel bearing - Saturn Relay by crkeehn
I have a 2005 Saturn Relay 3 with a noisy front left wheel bearing. I have been told various stories about having it corrected. Can anyone please tell me what is involved in correcting the problem and about how much it should cost? Thanks Carl

Oil change by John Sloan
I've had my new Vue 2 weeks and have skimmed thru the manual a couple times. I did not see a recommended oil change interval. All I found was a recommendation to change oil within 600 miles after the oil change lite comes on. Is this the accepted interval or does everybody go by the 3000 mile...

If Saturn goes, I will NEVER buy another GM car by Usenet User
I expect GM to survive in one form or another. But if GM drops or stops the Saturn brand, I am done with GM cars and so is the rest of the family. We have been loyal Saturn car owners and have found them superior and different than other GM cars. We have owned six Saturn vehicles over the years...

Fuel guage failure on 2003 Vue? by Jim E.
Hi, I filled up my Vue a few days ago. Guage went to full. As I drove for the next 1/2 hr it plummeted to a 1/4 tank like I was leaking fuel. ( i wasn't). Now it just hangs around empty, if I fill up it might go to almost 1/2 tank reading. The car runs fine so it knows it has fuel. Any ideas on...

Bosch Platium Spark plugs? by Canaan Apollyon
Got a 200 sl1 and Saw these on sale at my local Canadian Tire for 4 bucks off a package of 4. I tried them out and defiantly an improvement in torque and smoother acceleration (5 speed manual and tons of hiway driving). I should also note I changed my PCV valve which was grungy and oily so...

GM to Build First All-Electric Car Since EV1 by Oppie[_7_]
Saw this in 'Design News', an electronics trade publication General Motors has resumed its commitment to electric cars, officially announcing that it will produce and sell a new vehicle called the Spark EV in 2013. Without a trace of the fanfare that accompanied the announcement of the Chevy...

04 ION Coupe electric steering by Mark
Anyone else having problems getting use to the electric steering? After just over a month it still seems odd. Harder to control then regular steering at high speeds. It feels tight when you start to move the wheel on the highway then after what seems like only a 1/4 inch turn of the wheel the...

aura HVAC fan replacement. by Shawn
Hello everyone. I've got an '07 Saturn Aura XR. Recently the HVAC fan has stopped working reliably. I've decided to try and replace it myself as opposed to spending $$$ at the shop. I've removed the passenger side "cover" so that I've got a clear view of the HVAC fan motor housing. I can...

Rear brake adjustment: 95 SW1 by David Teichholtz
Strange problem. On the rear brakes, the slot in the backing plate thru which would normally insert a brake adjusting tool to spin the star wheel is on the wrong part of the backing plate. On the passenger side of the car, the self adjuster and the star wheel are toward the left,or rear of...

I've got to re-read my owner's manual again by Oppie[_7_]
Was driving to work today in the '09 Vue. The radio has a volume adjust right on the steering wheel and I was going to increase volume. Control wheel seemed sticky and I had worked it up and down to see what the problem was. In the process, I pressed it a bit harder than usual. The wheel...

1996 SW2 pulsed rattle under hood by [email protected]
Hi all. A few days ago my '96 SW2 DOHC began emitting about a half a second of rattle, every two seconds, from under the hood. Like clockwork. I noticed that the air conditioner clutch was turning the compressor about a half-turn each time the rattle occurs, so since the airco leaked out last year...

Dead Battery current leak by Jeremy
So I had this electrical problem. Last May at 52,000 miles. The battery spontaneously died while at a baseball game. My wife insisted she hadn't left any lights on. We had the car towed home. The alternator tested good. We replaced the battery and did not have a problem for another year. Last week...

I have a 1993 SC-2 with power windows. Just recently, my passenger's side window started closing slowly (it seems fine when opening) and then totally refused to close today. For now, I just want to get the window closed so that I don't get soaked in the rain and will fix it correctly...
