honda crv 2004. by Sheila
I am trying to solve a braking problem, on the above. With engine running, car stationary, brake pedal goes to the floor. When on the road, slight improvement is noticed. I have freed the brakes, because of rust, (not seized) bled the system, any ideas, thanks.

97 accord lx - hitachi or tec distributor?? by [email protected]
I've seen the Honda factory online parts diagrams and it lists a TEC or HITACHI distributor. Depending on which...there are different o- rings and cap/rotor I think. any way to tell the difference? I can't see any markings on the distributor...at least the part in view. thanks! -joe

Has anyone used non Michelin PAX tires and wheels on a Touring model? by [email protected]
I want to use regular snow tires on my Odyssey Touring. My understanding is that if I use the appropriate sized steel wheels with the Honda OE pressure monitoring system and the same size tires as the Odyssey EX-L (235x65x16) that there will not be any incompatibility issues. I realize that I...

Accessory Belts by Greg[_5_]
I have a 2000 Civic Si. When I start my car I hear a squealing sound from the engine bay. Using a bit of water I have determined that my A/ C condenser belt must be loose or glazed or whatever. The noise stops for about 30 seconds when I squirt some water on the belt that was running over the...

Target Price for 2008 Accord by [email protected]
My 1999 Camry is dying a slow, painful death and I need to buy a new car. Like the new Accords (especially the cloth seats on the EX!) and I'm wondering what my "target price" should be. It's a bit difficult at this time of year, since websites like Edmond's have not accumulated enough experience...

Hi. I have a '07 Acura TSX. My free trial of XM has expired and I decided not to continue with it. Even though I no longer get the service, when cylcing through the different radio modes it still stops on XM twice (FM1, FM2, AM, XM1, XM2, CD). Does anyone know if there is a way to skip the two...

2001 CRV Rear Window latch by LUKE J
Hello I have a 2001 CRV and lately I have had problems latching the rear window to the tail gate door when closing all. Is there an easy fix for this? Oil something? Align something? I go to pull down (close the window) and is seems to want to softly bounce back up and not

98 Prelude Immobilizer Problem (Lost Red Key) by [email protected]
I just recently purchased a 98 Prelude, the red key has been lost which is needed to add programed keys. I was told by the Honda dealer that without this red learning key I would have to purchase a new immobilizer then get the new keys programmed which will be costly. Is there any other option...

Hondas with MAFs instead of MAPs. by Tegger
Just for reference, this is a list (as of 2007) of Honda models that use Mass Air Flow sensors to directly measure air flow instead of a combination of sensors (including Manifold Absolute Pressure) to estimate it: ’03-04 Accord L4 ULEV, ’05-07 Accord L4, ’06-07 Civic, ’07 CR-V, ’07 Element,

I have a Honda Accord from 1991. Sometimes, it has problems starting. What do you think is the problem? by [email protected]
My car is due for its 6 month servicing. I called our local Honda dealership. They said it is most likely the fuel pump relay that transmits fuel and information to the starter. They said it was a common problem among Honda Accords from the early 90s. They recommended to replace this fuel pump...

d-series honda cam timing - for the 2ners by jim beam
for those of you who work with older d-series motors, have you ever wondered why the cam timing between the d16a6 cam is "half a tooth" off from the d15b2? here's what i think is the answer - : d16a6 stroke = 90mm d15b2 stroke = 84.5mm difference = 5.5mm. that's 2.75mm difference in deck...

Bad Fuse or Hidden Short? by [email protected]
Monday night I took the family for a ride in our 94 Accord LX because it was about to turn 200k miles. Very ironically, at 199,997 the instrument panel fuse blew and we didn't get to watch it flip all those 9's to 0's. I easily replaced the fuse and thought all was good. Then this morning it blew...

squeaky brakes accord 90 (pads are fine) by [email protected][_2_]
Hi all, I have a squeaky noise when I brake a low speeds (parking lots). This fits the description on Tegger's faq but my pads are just fine. The mechanic says the material in the pads could cause the noise. Rotors and pads were replaced < 3000k, and he says the pads have lots left, not running...

Love my 2000 Accord, don't love the rust by Pete from Boston
I'm really happy with my '00 Accord Coupe so far, but I just found a nasty little spot of rust in a place I've never seen rust, on the front pillar of the driver's side door, under the weatherstripping. I guess there was an undetected leak in there for a long time before I got it. Anyone...
