Erratic idling / Near Stalling and Acceleration issues by
[email protected]
Hi,
I have a 1995 Dodge Stratus ES, its a 2.0L 4 Cyl. Engine and is a
5-speed manual. Lately the car has been running poorly. When sitting at
a light or anywhere idling, the RPM's jump from 500 to 1000 back and
forth. Obviously when it gets as low as 500, the car starts to shake
and feel like its...

Geo Tracker Problem by
mr [email protected]
I own a 96 Geo Tracker that makes a grinding noise and sometimes a
squealing noise when the temperature goes below 70 degrees. At 80
degrees and above there is no noise at all.
I only use this vehicle to go to the beach, but if I stay overnight, in
the morning there is this loud grinding sound...

Sticky factory sun roof by
Richard
1994 Sentra. The factory sunroof will tilt, but will not slide open or
shut without "help" (pulling/pushing by hand). It will move a bit,
then snag until helped. I'm assuming the slides on which the panel
moves need to be cleaned & re-lubed, correct? And hints & suggestions
(especially what...

I have a 1996 Pontiac GrandAm with the 2.4L engine. 4 cyl. Does anybody
know how to test the 2 coil packs with a multimeter. I know that
there's a primary winding and a secondary winding but that's all I
know.

Did the 1987 Toyota van tend to overheat? by
Rod
I've got a 1987 Toyota van. One thing I discovered, when I had the water
pump replaced, was that the thermostat wasn't in place. (Why the mechanics
didn't put one in when they had the chance, I don't know.)
Anyway, this leads me to wonder, did 1987 Toyota vans tend to overheat? Is
that why the...

DMBFan
I replaced the heater core this summer and had heat until 2 days ago. I
turn on the blower switch and nothing happens. The temp gage reads in the
normal range.
What are some things I can check to troubleshoot?

PING Ian - Re Passkey and VATS systems by
Ian,
You were a big help on that passkey information recently. The strobe from
the passkey
module to the ECM was, however, not well documented even in your literature.
Found the following, which might be of some help at some time or the other:

Mazda MPV, humming noise by
pater
00 MPV , v6 multiport. Air box intermittantly emits a loud humming
noise, vacuum type of noise. Wondering if this is a common enough
headache so as someone has seen it before & knows the solution. If you
pinch off the large vacuum line going from the plenum to the intake

Is Ford focus now OK by
Dunsy
I have a 2002 Focus ZX3 and plan to buy another. My only complaint is that it seems that components on the car wear out much too fast. I had to change the starter at 40,000 miles, the CD player broke at 30,000 etc... I had a 1995 Honda Civic EX before this car and never had problems like this but...

Wrench report 95 Plymouth Neon by
[email protected]
We had a 95 Plymouth Neon come in with a rusted out brake line, ran all
the way from the right rear wheel brake hose, up to the master.
Replaced that, got it all bled out, boss was working the brake
pedal, said he had a full pedal.
I took the car for a ride, and it had a real hard brake pedal,...
