Trade from Ion to Vue? by J
Hey all, I've been sort of considering trading in my Ion3 Quad Coupe (With body kit, spoiler, muffler - all were on before I bought the car at Saturn). It's an '03 with 35,000 KM on it. I've been considering the different VUEs. I don't think I want the 4 cylinder, I'd be looking at the V6FWD,...

93 SW2 rear hatch speaker cover by Shark
I see the pop-in rivets and have removed these. Got the plastic inside cowl removed, where the wiring harness was attached to. However the last cover seems to be a bear to get out, the cover over the rear wiper motor. Does one need a special tool to pop those clips along that edge, that do not...

Anyone with expertise on a Lw200? by Steph
Our LW-200 is starting to annoy us. Seems like there is a terrible shortage of knowledgeable mechanics that know anything about this car and it's manual transmission. Since just under 30,000 miles the clutch has acted up/weird on us. Essentially it first showed up after driving about 90 miles on...

Torque axis mount on '97 SL2 by Gary Kirchherr
While getting my SES-light-related problem fixed, the tech noted that the torque axis mount had collapsed, which is going to cost me $165 to repair. Is this something I can put off, or does letting it slide for a while put me at risk for seriously damaging the engine and/or powertrain?

Noise from the front by Roy[_1_]
98 SL1. 175,000km. I have a noise coming from the front. It sounds almost like I'm driving along beside a Honda with a fart can muffler. The noise gets louder and changes tone as the car goes faster. It doesn't seem related to engine RPMs as I have pressed the clutch and let the RPMs drop as I...

'94 SL2 PS bypass? by [email protected]
- I'm hoping someone here can give some advice on this one -- my '94 SL2 has a PS pump that is going out; from the looks of things the pulley can be completely bypassed without affecting the belt tensioner? I do have AC. Can anyone who has tried this tell me what length the belt should be? ...

Radio in '99 SL2 by [email protected]
The volume knob in my '99 SL2 is *very* loose, and the pushbutton function (switch between CD & radio) no longer works. I'm trying to figure out whether or not I can fix it - two dealerships have thus far offered to replace the radio en masse, but not fix it. Does anyone have information on...

My car seems to idle rough only at idle and it is running rich. I just bought the car and it had a bad cts. I replaced that and it ran great for about 100 miles. Then the check engine light came on and within 20 miles the the idle became rough. I check the codes and got "EGR insufficient flow...

One headlight is dim by Jim G
Hi- This is a 2001 Saturn wagon. One of the low beams seems half as bright as it should be (right side). Replaced the bulb but that did not help. The high beam on that side don't work but not worried about that. Any ideas on this? Thanks a lot for any ideas!

Help! by HyperCube33 \(Life2Death\)[_21_]
I'm going to undertake the first major car maintenance I've ever done: Replace the front wheel bearing. I'm going to take the hub into Saturn (right?) and have them press a new bearing in for me. I would appreciate a list of tools I'd need to rent, or buy, or find before I get started, so I can...

Cracked radiator, leaking lines, etc.. (fixed after $530) by python newbie
Have you ever had service done on your SL1 (mine's a late 90's) and then, after the service (which was over $600 for a 90,000 plus a fuel fitler and a pvc valve), a week later you had more problems come up that you just kinda *feel* would not have come up if you hadn't had the Service in the...
