'90 Plymouth Grand Voyager - front wheel bearings by
John Keith
It's time to replace at least one of the front wheel bearings on my
'90 Plymouth Grand Voyager. The parts distributors generally seem to
not stock the bearings themself but rather they stock a complete front
wheel hub. Is there a reason why just the bearings can't be replaced?
John...

'91 Plymouth Grand Voyager; Cutting Out and Oil Pressure by
Pentastar
My parents own a 1991 Plymouth Grand Voyager SE with a 3.3 V6 engine
and a 4-speed automatic transmission.
When they were taking some big stuff over to a store for refunds, they
ran into a couple of problems with the van.
1st:
During the day, the van was running fine at first. But when my...

'92 Dodge Dynasty 3.3L A604 Trans problem. by
Bret K
Hello,
I have a '92 Dodge Dynasy with 190,000 miles on it. As I was driving
home from work, the car shifted suddenly into 2nd gear (limp mode?) and now
will not shift into a higher gear. It was a very sudden change at about 45
MPH. Using the ON-OFF-ON-OFF-ON-OFF method, there are no codes...

'92 Plymouth Acclaim electrical issues... by
KillerBear
There is something very wrong with the electrical. The tack needle
sits at 6000rpm and does not move. When it's in that position, the
radio, and interior light do not work. At other times the tack gets
burried at 7000+, when it is in that position everything works fine.
Then sometimes magically it...

'92 Plymouth Sundance - Burning Oil? by
Bobby Villamor
Hello everyone.
My '92 Plymouth Sundance 2.5L engine have been consuming too much oil.
From full to empty on the dipstick takes only over a week. Months ago, I
changed
the valve cover gasket and a hose from the valve cover to the air cleaner,
properly
clipped. Yesterday, I found that another...

'92 Plymouth Voyager 2.5 4cyl top-end noise / pre-ignition? by
Adam Jacobs
I recently completed an engine rebuild on a 2.5 4cylinder engine in the
above vehicle. I did the rebuild because the engine was burning about a
quart every 40 miles and had no oil pressure. Also, it had a lot of what
sounded like lifter noise.. a real racket, it drowned out the radio at
highway...

Another engineer I'd like to punch in the nose, but that's for another
thread:
1992 Plym Grand Voyager: this morning in a raging snowstorm the pass
side windshied wiper stopped working. It appeared as though (from the
sound) the linkage came undone. I removed the...

'93 Accliam Check Engine Light (code 35) by

Hello,
I have a 1993 Plymouth Acclaim 3.0L V6 w/ Automatic transmission. This
evening the check engine light came on. I obtained the error code by
doing the self diagnosis where you rev the engine up, turn the ac
on/off, Shift thru all the gears and then turn the Ingition key ON,
OFF, ON, OFF and...

'93 GCL mystery pin by
SBlackfoot
'93 Grand Cherokee Limited 5.2L. This little pin mysteriously appeared
beneath my driveshaft while pulling my right rear wheel bearing. It had a
light coating of oil over it which kinda smells like gear oil. Any idea
where it came from? I've been told that it looks like a shaft lock pin for...

'93 Grand Voyager 3.0L coolant drain plugs by
SBlackfoot
Simple question, are there any? I went to drain the coolant on my 3.0L the
other day and I'll be damned if I could spot any drain plugs on the block.
Maybe I was looking in the wrong place. *shrug*

'93 Grand Voyager ATF and rough shifts by
SBlackfoot
The easy part. Should I fill my tranny with ATF+4 or search for +3? It seems
most of the local places only have +4 now. It's a '93 Grand Voyager 3.0L, 3
speed auto (A670 I would imagine), 203k kms.
The harder part. This tranny has always had hard upshifts, especially when
cold. By hard I mean it...

'93 Grand Voyager crank, no start by
SBlackfoot
My father's '93 Grand Voyager (3.0L, auto, 178k kms) decided not to start
today when he really needs it (it has been converted to a wheelchair van for
my brother long ago, a real lifesaver to say the least). She'll crank over
all day but won't catch. I do hear the fuel pump running for a few...

'93 Grand Voyager knocking by

I have a '93 Grand Voyager with about 146k miles on it. It's developed
a terrible loud engine knock that is progressing. When it started
months ago, it was only when the engine got to normal temp but now it's
from the time you start it up and getting louder all the time. It
sounds like a diesel...

'93 Lebaron Convertable, break problem by

I can't get a hard petal while my car is running. We have replaced the master cylider 4 times, can find no leaks, blead the breaks dry, changed any questionable break lines. The stroke is fine, the regulator valve is fine. We tried everything we could think of. Anyone ever heard of a similar...

'93 Sundance Ignition question by
Denise[_2_]
Hopefully, it's a simple question
My husband was given this vehicle and cannot find a way to remove the
key from the ignition. He is a mechanic; the ignition switch doesn't
push in, he can't locate a key-release button, and there doesn't seem to
be any position in "off" that allows for the...

OK hopefully you omeone can help me diagnose. Here is the story.
My wife was driving on Saturday and she said the car just seemed to "pop out
of gear". No noises or weird vibration, just no drive. This was on the
highway, so figure 65 MPH. She pulled over immediately, put it in park,
tried drive...
