Ball joint dust cover by
Art[_9_]
Okay, I removed the drive axles on my 1998 Nissan Altima, and
installed replacements. I used a greased pickle fork on the tie rod
ends and the control arm lower ball joints to get the old axles out,
and, sure enough, the dust boots are torn and need to be replaced. Is
there a replacement dust...

head gasket replacement 92 saturn SL2 by
[email protected]
Greetings,
Looking for feedback for anyone having replaced a head gasket on a
Saturn 1.9 DOHC.
This one is out of a 92 SL2. No 3 cylinder had coolant leak.
Disassembled, confirmed gasket failure. Head is fined, cleaned up
nicely.
Was told by parts shop these are stretch head bolts (need to be

Help! Impala 2001 Aftermarket Radio by
Silent Assassin
Hi guys...
I'm installing an aftermarket radio (Pioneer DEH-P30001B) in my 2001
impala. I bought a harness so the wiring would match up properly, and
I have an installation kit to adjust from my old double din factory
installed radio to this single din dash radio, with a storage pocket

Sputters & Dies But Love Too Much To Sell... by
ShempBob
Hello There,
This is probably an easy question to answer, but being not all that
mechanical, I have a problem that might need a more expert answer. I
have a 94 GT 5-Speed manual with a little over 156,000, in good to
excellent condition, plus amazingly well-preserved (virtually no rust)
for never...

Car won't start -- but only sometimes by
Doug McLaren[_3_]
1999 Ford Taurus Stationwagon. Automatic.
130k or so miles.
Lately, it occasionally refuses to start. I turn the key, and I hear
a click, and the radio and lights turn off, and it doesn't turn over.
It does not go click-click-click-click like it does when the battery
is too weak, and the lights...

Synthetic oil: Change filter only? by
[email protected]
My last oil change at local quick lube job was $27 for
dino oil and filter.
I'm getting tired of over paying for stuff like this
yet can change oil myself as live in apartment complex
Im wondering if going to synthetic oil and only
changing the oil filter and topping up is safe for a
2000 Mazda...

Is oil in cans completely a thing of the past? by
brassplyer
I have one of these metal oil funnels with the piercing point and
squeeze handle to push the can onto the pierce point, is this thing
officially an antique? Trying recall the last time I saw motor oil in
a paper can.

Source for Honda Parts Needed by
Chris F.
Does anyone know of a parts dealer who carries a complete line of Honda
parts, and is either located in Canada or will ship here for a reasonable
price? I haven't had any luck in finding anyone so far. Many of the parts I
need for this '88 Civic are not readily available - control arm bolts,...

Minor surface windshield scratch removal by
Tony S.
I'm wondering if anyone could recommend a product for removing minor
surface scratches from a windshield. I saw a glass polishing kit on
amazon; any thoughts on if that would be the way to go?
Thanks,
-Tony
