"Bolt through condensor" on 2000 Accord? by Pete from Boston
I'm looking at a 2000 Accord that has no cooling in the A/C. The owner says their mechanic told them something about a "bolt went through the condensor," causing the refrigerant to leak out, something that would cost about $300 to fix. I've never had a good look in the condensor, so I don't know...

Squeeky Creeky Steering/Turning from 92 Accord by 85miles
I have an annoying creeking/squeeking noise coming from my suspension area in the front. It only happens when I turn the wheels... any idea on what this is? I heard it could be bushings, or I need a new strut. I dont think its my strut though. Any help is appreciated!

Moonroof Glass and UNA/UVB by Slacker
Ordinary window glass blocks most UVB rays but not much UVA unless it's been specially treated. Anyone know if the glass used in current model moonroofs blocks or passes UVA? -- "Beware of the man of one book."

I have 2001 Honda Civic with about 88K. I was looking at maintainence manual and it recommends lot of things to be done at 90K. (Transmission Fluid, Spark Plug replacement etc etc) My question is what would be approximate cost of this whole thing? Also is it better to get it done from a dealer...

How does this sound? by [email protected]
The dealer told me they would need to flush the break, transmissions, and other fluids, and also replace a bunch of filters like pollen filters, etc. They also did an oil and filter change. As well as rotating tires and other typical maintenance stuff. For all that, it would be $500, and that is...

It's HOT and the A/C's out!! by [email protected]
I have a 1994 Honda Accord LX that seems to have a freon leak. At about this time last year the A/C started making a funny noise and pretty soon it was blowing hot air alternating with cold air for 30 second intervals. We had the A/C checked out. The mechanic said it was low on freon so he refilled...

Loud roar after timing belt replacement by [email protected]
It is hard to describe a sound but that what I hear: a very loud roaring sound that develops after 2000 rpm. Sometimes it sounds like a tractor trailer. It all started after the timing belt replacement. I know I am guilty: I bought OEM timing belt but stop short on buying OEM balancer belt. I...

Rotating Engine Using Wheels? by Elle
91 Civic, manual transmission, here. I am doing a timing belt replacement. The front of the car is on jackstands, and I put the transmission in 5th gear. I freed the pulley bolt just fine, but then I wanted to rotate the engine so #1 piston was at TDC blah blah. I thought turning either of the...

Door panel removal- how? by [email protected]
I need to remove the driver's side door panel from my '94 Civic HB SI (still love it after all these years). I've looked all over for simple instructions but no luck. I'd appreciate any tips you all might have. The deal is: the window (crank type) is simply frozen, thankfully in the up position. It...

Lately when driving down the highway I been noticing a significant amount of wheel shake. This happens about 1 or 2 times during about a 30 minute trip, lasting about 5 minutes each time. I thought it was my bushings or tie rod, but turned out to be my brake on the left front was not releasing...

I'm looking for an easy way to connect an iPod to a the stock radio in a 1998 CRV and think the easy way to do this would be to use a cable to connect the iPod to the aux input on the radio if there is one. Overheating brake drum by jbourgeois
I am hearing a strange clunking noise coming from my right rear wheel (98 Accord, 166k miles). Since I only heard it when applying the brakes, I took it to Midas and they were unable to find a problem, except that the brake drum was not "true" and that there was a bent suspension rod on the...
