Engine light on 98 Accord LX with 74,000 miles?? by
Reg Martin
I just changed the oil at the local mechanic about 2600 miles ago. The
local Honda dealership advised changing the timing belt as recommened
by the manual at 90,000 miles plus due the water pump because they are
interconnected. I had CV boot plus recall stuff done at the dealer
about 3,000 miles...

Bad buying experience by
[email protected]
Recently, about November 23, I decided to purchase a 2006 Accord. I've
owned over 7 Hondas and Acuras and had pretty good experiences so far.
This one was different.
At first, things went well. I e-mailed and called several dealers
looking for the best price on an EX-L. One dealer was $400...

Cloudy headlight lenses by
R. P.
My '94 Accord's headlight lenses became very cloudy over the years,
especially on the driver side, apparently from water deposits. I was
wondering if there was an easy way to remove the lenses for cleaning by
leaving the chrome covered side in place. I have the service manual but
it only shows the...

LOL! This newsgroup is a hoot! by
speedy
Sorry guys, but I've been getting a LOT of giggles from "answers" I have
seen posted here about mechanical problems. There sure is a LOT of
misinformation spread about Hondas and cars in general.
All of you who casually use a wrench... Be careful what you read here!
Its probably in your best...

New 2006 Civic (UK) . by
jimbo
what do people in here think of it ?
Whilst I think it is pretty radical (maybe too much ?) I am disappointed at
a few items :
1) no air con as standard across the range
2) No CD as standard across the range
3) No parking sensors ?
4) any colour other than red is extra !

Difficult to start my 99 civic immeidiately after a trip. by
[email protected]
I have a 99 civic and recently it develops a starting problem. Normally
the first start of the car is ok. After a trip, it won't start again,
so far I can manage to get it started after waiting some time. When
can't get the car started, on turning the key, the dash lights become
very dim as if the...

CR-V -versus- Rav 4 by
fish
I will be hoping to buy perhaps sometime next year.
Currently leaning towards the Rav 4.
Which is better, the Rav 4 or Honda's CR-V ?
Consumer Reports rates the CR-V better, but the Rav 4 is actually better,
according to Consumer Reports.
That's because CR highly recommends the CR-V even though...

replaced timing belt, now big oil leak by
JLA
I have a 2002 Honda Accord, four cylinder.
I hit the 100k mark for mileage already because of my long commute and
had my mechanic change the timing belt. He also replaced the water
pump as Honda recommends and flushed the radiator.
Two days later, I notice quite a bit of oil in my garage floor....

96 Accord Power Door Lock Problems by
Kofi Anim-Appiah
What is the most common component failure resulting in power door locks that
just make noise (but fail to lock or open) when either the driver's or
passenger's side internal lock switch (or key) is activated? The problem
started with one rear door and now a second door has joined it.
Thanks
Kofi

Breakign in new accord I4 by
Dr Nick
hi, I got my new accord I4 last week and I was wondering the best way to
break it in (looking for opinions becuase from what I've seen it varies from
person to person) the book mearly suggests that you take it easy for the
first 500 miles (which I'm fast approaching). I've been doing smooth...
