I have a 98 explorer with 90K miles and want to change the shocks to something that will give my wife a more comfortable ride, it is a mom-mobile, no towing, just street and highway driving. Any suggestions?

I realize that the recall doesn't include my 2000 Explorer, yet, but the cruise deactivation switch sure looks similar. Is the switch always hot as on the ones that are being recalled. If so is it feasible to wire an inline fuse to it; if so how large a fuse would be best.
