Another question on feeding by
Hi all,
Can anyone help me with this: I've been unexpectantly given the job of
fish-feeder during a holiday, and the owners aren't reachable. Now I have
little knowledge about fish, and how to take care of them. Can anyone
identify the 2 types of fish swimming in this tank (see url's below),...

Does anyone have any opinion on this brand (good or bad)?
Thanks!

ID of small-ish Korean Stream Fish? by
Long long ago, I saw a 'fluffy' finned fish in a shallow stream at a Korean
tourist village. I don't know if the fish was 'installed' in the stream, but
to some degree, the stream was artificial. I think there were metallic
colors on the fins, else the fish wouldn't have visually struck me. It...

I had two clown loach in my tank and for a week or so they were out
regularly. Then they just dissapeared and I haven't seen either of them for

Fluval filter lost pressure by
Hi, I have a Fluval 2+ filter (one of the completely under-the-water types).
It's been running fine for a month or so but lately it keeps losing
pressure. Instead of firing a mighty jet of water it has reduced to a
trickle. I've "fixed" it in the past by unplugging, taking it apart and
reassembling...

Water Question by
-- pelirojaroja
Hello,
Our kids have enjoyed freshwater aquariums for several years in Ohio.
However, we have now moved to the central coast of California (halfway
between LA and SF). The municipal tap water here is very hard,
probably acidic, and has been described as "corrosive" to pipes and
plumbing. (We can...
