UK auto electrical question: What was the fuse type designation? by
Rich
Hi. I've got a few "antique" fuses from British cars. They might be 30
or 40 years old. They are very like type 3AG glass cartridge fuses,
about 6mm dia., but about 2mm shorter at 30mm. They have coloured paper
inside them. The ends are flat, not rounded. I say "antique, but they
seem to still be...

Rochester 4gc accelerator pump intake by
Todd
I'm rebuilding a 4gc for my 327 powered 1963 Impala and have a
question about the pump intake ball. My carb didn't have one in the
pump well but my rebuild kit contained a replacement. How can I tell
if my carb uses the intake ball in the pump well? It looks like the
bowl has a casting for the...

Hot Extrusion of Metals by
Jacob Wilson
Extrusion is a hot working process, in which, forging, rolling etc.,
uses the good deformability of heated metallic materials for shaping
them. The most important aspect of the process is that it enables
considerable changes of shape to be achieved in a single operation.

Spitfire 1500 Houndstooth Seats by
Rusty[_2_]
I was wondering if someone would be so kind as to help me locate the
correct Beige houndstooth fabric that was used on the 1977-1980
triumph spitfires.
I've seen the seat covers that are made by Newton Commercial and the
houndstooth fabric is a perfect match. Only thing is the beige vinyl
is a...

Baffling Straight-8 Timing Problem by

Hi,
I'm working with a friend on his 1931 Marmon 88 straight-8 engine. He
pulled the fully functional engine about a year ago, had the whole
thing miked out, replaced all the parts that needed it etc. in prep
for a rebuild to fix leaks and generally restore the engine. The
engine is now all back...

Need a starter for my 1953 Series 62 (12v) by
Mike Atkins
You have a number of choices:
The most expensive (but I've always found excellent quality) is to call USA
Parts http://usapartssupply.com/ & order a rebuilt unit. After you send
them your old one for the core refund, it'll probably end up costing $200+.
The less expensive way, but you'll be...

1937 Packard 115 Coupe by
Jim
My Uncle has a 1937 Packard 115 Coupe for sale for $15,000. His
father purchased the car new. It was rebuilt totally about 20 years
ago and kept in a heated garage. It is driven to 4th of July parades
and such. I am trying to help him sell it. E-mail me for more
information and/or photos.
