1991 Honda Accord Timing belt by
Fijoy George
Hi all,
I went to the local honda dealer today to correct a minor problem that I had
with a seat belt of my 1991 Honda Accord . After diagnosing the problem with
the seatbelt, the technician came back to me saying that the timing belt is
due for replacement. He then quoted ~$700 for replacing the...

Fun Factor...Civic coupe Ex or FIT Sport?? by
alfred
Hello,
If anyone wanted to get a bargain priced car which was reasonably safe and
versatile, yet FUN, and it had to be a Honda, would you choose the FIT Sport
or the Civic coupe Ex? I am thinking the 5 speed manual for either. I know
the civic has a sunroof on the Ex as opposed to the FIT which...

Hello everybody. Just took my 98 civic to Firestone for alignment and
they said they couldn't align it. (Right front in red, I think it was

have not lowered the vehicle or done anything to it in that matter. He
said 96-00...

Honda sun visor surgery by
Tegger
Good evening. Welcome to Tegger's Friday Night Slide Show.
<clears throat, shuffles paper, takes sip of water>
My driver's side sun visor was very much worse for the wear after sixteen
years of protecting my eyes from the damaging rays of that nuclear
holocaust flaming just 93 million miles...

Accord mileage ? by
Zork[_2_]
Have been looking at purchasing either a new Accord or Camry. A friend has
an '05 Accord and insists that he gets 37mpg on the highway all the time.
Is this really what they get, or a bunch of B.S. ? ? If it is true, the
Accord outdoes the Camry by a WIDE margin.
Sure would appreciate any...

mileage since then. Is it possible to over oil these and slow down
air flow. I also had to drill out th three front screws that hold
down the air cleaner cover an replaced with nut/flange bolt config and

battery replacement? by
riz
I have an 02 Civic with the original battery. 85K miles. I'm not having any
problems but I'm wondering if there is a "service life" expectancy. I can't
seem to find anything on the battery. Should I have it replaced or wait for
symptoms?
Thank you

91 Prelude Electrical Issue by
Erdos2
My daughter is reporting some strange electrical behavior with her 91
Honda Prelude.
Sometimes when she does one thing electrical, then it affects other
electrical things as well. For example, when she lowers the window or
turns on the wipers, then the radio is affected and lights dim. ...

Follow up to 12/12 post -- "All the oil ran out of my new 2007 CR-V" by
Chuck Connell
When I last posted, I had decided to accept Honda's offer to repair the
blown crank seal and give me an extended warranty. (The original post is
copied below.) Since that time I have been tracking the gas mileage, as a
possible way to see if there is any engine damage. I am now quite sure that...

Using thicker oil by
sharx333
It's now time for an oil change on my '95 Civic. The owner's manual I
downloaded recommends 5W-30, but here in the Philippines all I can
find is 10W-40 and 10W-50. People look at me strange when I ask for
5W-30.
We're located very near the equator, very hot tropical climate and it
never snows;...

broken timing belt=valve damage? by
Robert Reynolds
My 1987 Accord LX (with carburetor) had a timing belt failure. Is it
possible to know if my valves and pistons are trashed without
disassembling the engine? I didn't hear any loud catastrophic sounding
noises when it failed. It just stopped running.

European diesel engines in North American CR-Vs by
limehand[_2_]
I believe I am correct that there was a 1999 diesel engine option for
CR-Vs in the UK? Possibly for continental Europe as well?
Does anyone know if this diesel engine will swap into a North American
CR-V?
Anyone done it?
thanks
