Effects of Stainless Steel? by
Kevin
Hi group,
I am in the process of designing a formal pond for my Townhouse. In
the interest of making my life easier in the future, for maintenance
purposes, I am thinking of using stainless steel to create some of the
filter components.
Is anyone aware of any kind of detrimental effects that...

Does a pond "breathe"? Is it important? by
Galen Hekhuis
I may not use the proper terminology, but if anyone can make heads or tails
out of this and responds or tells me where I can find more information I
sure would appreciate it.
There seems to be a sort of local water table with respect to ponds. To
put it one way, if you dig a hole in the ground...

Butyl pond liner uk by
Broadback
Could someone please give me advice on the above. The price for 75mm
liner varies from £268 to £335. All give life guarantee, which I reckon
is pretty useless, partly because whose life, also I don't think
clearing and draining, finding leak then being proving it was the liner
not the linee would...

Filtering a big pond by
Galen Hekhuis
The bulldozer and front end loader got finished and now what once was a 40
ft small tree lined wet garbage dump (sort of a pond) is now a 40 foot in
diameter mud puddle with an average depth of about 3 feet. I don't think
the water is *too* polluted because as the thing got cleared out...

Rock on, ponders! Looks like Jabby's years-long netstalking habit is
about to come to a screeeeeeeeeeeeching halt. All you have to do is report
him. And I doubt any of the little dupes...

New pond critter by
Dan
It's been unusually warm here in the mid-atlantic for
a few weeks now, in fact, it's 10:30 pm and 52 F outside
(A real bummer for someone like I who loves snow). Anyway,
got home tonight and found a 6" spotted salamander (stocky,
black with bright yellow spots) out back near our new
pond. We have...

More pond advice please! by
JRB
Hello all,
Thanks for the help with my recent posts. I am new to some aspects of
'ponding' and I have now got a question regarding filtration.
My pond is quite small (250 gallons) but it would be nice to have
reasonably clear water to see the goldfish, specially in the warmer
months when I'm...
