Distilled or tap water? by
day115
I put in some tap water from the faucet into my coolant reservoir. I think
the house uses some kind of GE filter system through out the house and not
sure that helps. I think i put about 1 liter of water and the car takes
about 4.6 or so liters of coolant. (Doest this makes sense). Anyways,
can...

Cleaning carburetors by
rudyeb
What is the most effective way to clean a carburetor for a do-it-yourselfer?
Is there one cleaner out there to soak a unit in that stands out above the
rest?
Thank you

Vintage Auto Key Blanks by
The Guy
Hello,
Can anyone direct me to a source for vintage auto key blanks?
Specifically, I am looking for Corbin key blanks, with a C08 profile,
which were used on 1920s vintage autos. I have been able to locate old
Ilco 1000K blanks which have the same profile. But I would really like to
find some...

Holley Carb adjustment question by
HAND JOB
Its a holley 600 cfm with vacuum secondary. Performer intake. The only
adjustment screws I see are for the idle and there is one screw on each side
of the metering block up front. Idles fine but stumbles when you get into
the throttle. Squirters are working fine.

Incredibly hard-to-remove lugnuts by
James P. H. Fuller
Just lugnuts on a farm trailer wheel, but I can't get them off.
They've been on for years, probably put on with an air wrench,
certainly good'n'rusted. I've tried socket wrench, cross wrench,
electric impact wrench, they won't budge. I've used a gallon of Liquid
Wrench, no joy. I took the trailer...

any way to protect NOS fenders? by
Nate Nagel
Looks like I just bought myself another car... a '64 Stude convertible,
comes with NOS front fenders. Now fenders on Studes are made in a real
retarded manner, there is a vertical brace at the rear edge with a tiny
little gap between it and the outer skin. Guess where they all rust?
What would...
