95 Honda Prelude S: Click and won't start by
google_giggle
Hi all:
My 95 Honda Prelude S (auto transmission) sometimes won't start. It
happened randomly twice this two weeks. When I turned the key to start,
I hear click... click... click... and the car will start only after a
few tries (5-7 times). All lights were on inside the car, and the radio
and...

91 Honda Civic Hatchback by
[email protected]
Hi!
I just bought a '91 Honda Civic hatchback which was cared for very
well. All of a sudden the steering wheel began to shake like crazy! It
seems to happen most around 25- 45 mph. It doesn't happen when I break,
just while driving. It is slightly pulling to the right as well. Can
anyone tell me...

Reasonable MPG on 96 Civic in City driving by
slim
I would like to know what you think is a reasonable MPG figure on a 96
Civic DX Coupe with 75K in city driving. I am currently getting 19-21
City and 30- 34 Highway. Yes, I have a lead foot. LOL.

Valve clearance question by
[email protected]
I adjusted the valve clearances on a '95 Civic, 1.6L DOHC non-vtec,
yesterday, with good results. However I read on an older thread that,
while measuring the gap, you should push down on the other end of the
rocker arm to eliminate slack.
Should I have done this?
Any other things to adjust to...

restoring floormats (removing ground in dirt and stains) by
[email protected][_1_]
My car has close to 200K miles, although I have kept my interior in
great condition.
Even new carpeted floormats however seem tough to keep clean.
I have used pure steam on them with no luck (Euro-Pro EP93 steamer),
and those aerosol cleaner cans with the built in brush don't cut...

Any Massachusetts Honda dealers reading this? by
Mikhail T.
I've given up trying to get Honda dealers to respond to my request for a
quote via e-mail. I suspect, an average one just doesn't know how to use
it. Judging by their Flash-heavy web-sites, their IT-departments value
presentation ONLY, caring little for the utility :-(
So... I'd like a quote on...

Exhaust pipe replacement 1992 Accord by
[email protected]
I'm about to replace the exhaust pipe on my granddaughter's '92 Accord
LX sedan. The toughest part looks like the rusted studs on the cat.
I've done this job on a '87 a few years ago and ended up drilling out
the studs after they snapped off and putting it all back together with
bolts. Anyone...

Lights by
Brandon Scarbrough
Sorry for the generic title of this message I didn't'[t know what
else to call this.
I have a 93 Honda Civic EX coupe.
For about a year now when I turn the headlights on, the interior lights
and tail lights would not come on. In order to get those lights to
come on I would turn the knob for the...

Honda Fit Mileage by
Don in San Antonio[_1_]
There's a US Government Web site that lets owners track and share their
gas mileage. Here are some of the numbers a few Honda Fit owners have
reported.
For the 5 speed 11 owners got 29 - 35.5 mpg with an average of 35.5 mpg.
For the automatic 13 owners got 21 - 35 mpg with an average of 29.0...

Honda Wires Rock!!! by
Grumpy AuContraire[_2_]
Recently, my '83 Honda Civic FE refused to start.
A squirt of starting fluid in the carb did nothing. Hence, my attention
turned to ignition failure.
Changing the distributor did not fix it.
Changing the coil did not fix it.
Cleaning the (NGK) plugs barely allowed it to start. Once warmed up,...

Accord 98 doesn't start after weekends by
Homer[_2_]
Hi All,
My Honda Accord EX 98 doesn't start after sitting for one day in my
driveway.
Engine starts everyday no matter how cold or warm is the day and
battery is pretty good.
The only problem is if I don't start the engine for one (or more)
days (after weekends mostly).
I tested holding the gas...

Buying a 2006 Civic by

Is there any Honda dealer in the US that sells the Civic at or near the
invoice price, or are all Hondas sold at sticker price? If there are any,
how do I find them?

This is weird....what is this noise? by
[email protected]
Hope someone might be able to guide me in the right direction:
1993 Honda Civic...had noise in clutch...when I push the clutch, it had
a classic "release bearing" noise" except the weird thing is...the
noise happens when I DEPRESS the clutch pedal, NOT release it....I took
out the tranny, and...

03 Accord rust spots?? by
Zephyr
Hey all,
I just purchased a used 03 accord, very happy so far. I previously
drove a 93 civic and like many others I saw on the road it had small
rust spots in specific locations, (10 O'Clock on the pass rear wheel
well, ect) (( incidentally if Honda had not put that rubber strip
around the...

FIT or Yaris - Element or xB by
Chris Lamb
I need some wheels. Cost is the primary determinant, but I want to
spend my money wisely, and a couple thousand more for a vehicle that
gives me more utility may be money well spent. Second determinant is
fuel economy. I don't haul anything, it is just me going many miles.
I have looked at the...

anti-theft systems by

I heard about is a Anti Car Jacking system called The Wizard and from what I
understand its a remote like an alarm transmitter and if you get car jacked,
you wait until the thief is almost ready to drive off then press the button
and the car stops and stalls out in the middle of the street. At...
