1994 Saturn and oil by
MattKenseth1711
Just curious on what the best brand of motor oil is for older saturns. I
switched to Castro after having knuckle heads at Jiffy Lube changed it using
Valvoline.

code 94 - idle speed too high by
chuck smoko
Hi,
I have a 94 SL1 w/ standard transmission. I got a
check engine light and the reveled code is a 94, which
is idle speed too high (vacuum leak). I checked
around and saw no obvious "hose off" or anything.
Just for grins, I replaced the PCV and grommet as
well as a "not so clean" air filter. ...

I have a 97 SL 1 with the 1.9L engine and I have a question.
Got 96k on it and the check engine light it on. I know I am overdue
changing the Oxygen Sensor. Does this car have one sensor or two?
I see the one on the manifold, is there one by the catalytic converter?
Also, would I do better buying...

Hello all,
I have just turned my old 96 Tahoe and 98 cabrio into a 2005 L300. Very
nice car painless process. It has a longer length than expected ... means
tight fit in a normal cluttered garage.
Has some kind of Auto traction feature TRAC not sure exactly how it works,
or even if it is good...

1993 Saturn SL-2 4cyl

Richard
98 SL Manual 112K : The Service Engine Soon light came on Friday 10/16. I

$20 with a coupon (regular $54).
They said it was the EGR valve and would be $135 for the part, $85 for
labor. I scheduled an appointment to have it...

How do I perform a "Current load test"? by
tuko
I want to perform a current load test so that I can test my alternator. It
seems to put out enough voltage, but I was cautioned that the alternator
may still not be putting out the necessary amps. Can I perform this test
with my trusty hand held Craftsman multimeter? It was about 30 bucks,...

Cracked cyl. heads by
misterfact
Type in the keywords: CRACKED CYLINDER HEAD in search box ; then click
on SEARCH.AUTOS.MAKERS.SATURN- then see how many horror stories come
up!
Then consider if you ever want to buy a Saturn (or another
Saturn)with its worthless short term warranty.
