Checking motor mounts by
marx404
I should know this, but I need a refresher. My '02 SC2 , 58K mi is starting
to show signs of very slight vibrations when at idle. How do I inspect the
top motor mount, what do I look for? I had it replaced in 2004, whats the
replacement interval? TIA.

97 sl2 drop in mpg by
[email protected]
my 97 sl2 has ran great and I just hit the 160k miles. I use to get
27mpg in the city and 35 to 37mpg on the hiway but recently something
has changed. My mpg is now about 24-25mpg on the hiway and 20 in the
city. Pu new plugs in as normal (twice a year) but that didn't seem to
mke a difference....

L300 hose clamps by
Oppie
I finally got arround to fixing the leaking joint on the heater core of my
'01 LW300.
Found that the joints are all O-Ring seals with a plastic retainer clamp
holding the joint together. The clamp holds the swaged flange on the core
joint to a similar flange on the pipe. As the lowest point in...

little newer, stick, basic model (no cruise etc). Car is new to me

I screwed up trying to install a stereo by
Billycat
Hello, I thought I would install a stereo like I did in my 95 SW2 a
few years back.
I currently have a 97 SW1 and thought it would be a similar deal.
First off I tried to get the GM wiring harness but both my local
Walmarts only carried the one that said for GM vehicles 94 and up. I
thought it...

Back in the Saturn fold by

I'm happy to say (for anyone who knows me and cares, lol) that as of Monday,
I have gone back with Saturn. With the new direction that they are going and
all new vehicles I am very excited to see this little company take such a
big step in a new direction. Although Saturn Corp. is no more, the...

Hello All. Can anyone offer advice please? I have a 92 SL which I
have been pleased with overall. Car has approx 150K miles on it. It
used to idle really high and stall often. I replaced the Idle Control
Valve and teh Oxygen sensor and those seem to have helped. (Although

Saturn engine problems by
[email protected]
I have a '97 SL2 with 133k miles and my check engine light keeps
coming on and going out. While driving, the engine will rev up or not
shift appropriately, i.e. when at 35-37mph it won't shift into the
next gear unless I take my foot off the gas. When stopping, the
engine feels like it's going to...

Outlook by
marx404
Got training on the Outlook. Coming from Chevrolet background, this is a
real contender for the luxury SUV market.
Many features from the various GM luxury line put together in a nice pkg. I
like the steering wheel, seems straight from the Impala SS. More features
than the Trailblazer and Escalade...

Saturn Astra Debuts This Week in Chicago by
[email protected]
I suppose this is old news to most here, but the arrival of the Astra
may mean the first new car for me in 11 years.

Hopefully, it will be as good as the European models. I understand the
first to arrive will not be made in the US...

OIL PRESSURE LIGHT by
Lentinman
1995 Saturn:
A couple/three months ago my oil pressure light started coming on only
after I first started the car and when I would approach the first road
incline. But, it has come on more and more often ever since then -
sometimes even on the highway briefly.
I'm assuming it will eventually...

Rented AWD Vue by
scott[_4_]
I just returned from a snowboarding trip to Denver area, and we rented
a V6 AWD Saturn Vue. I really liked the vehicle ride, size, style,
and we did need AWD because of blowing snow, but I was a bit
dissappointed with the GM versatrak AWD system. It seemed to be a bit
psychotic, sometimes giviing...

2006 Vue. 12 miles per gallon? by
[email protected]
We bought our Vue last July. 6Cyl front wheel drive.
I picked the Vue because of the Saturn experience and
the generally good reviews of this model, including what
others reported as their gas mileage.
It has been about seven months now and we are getting
an average of 12 1/2 miles per gallon....

Finally got the codes-any ideas? by
mrichards
Finally got around to having the codes read and below is the history.
The symptoms I have been having are the sevice eng. light coming on for
awhile during a trip. Sometimes, not each time the light came on, the
eng. would skip or misfire, I would get a whiff of raw gas briefly in the
car. ...
