Front door speakers by
Hairy
2001 Sport Trac
I just noticed today that both front door speakers sound really scratchy.
Any bass at all is just buzz. Selecting just the rear speakers with the
fader control, it sounds fine. Is it likely that both front speakers shot
craps all of a sudden or could there be another cause?

Top Dead Center (TDC) of the compression stroke by
Captian Coleman
I know how to find TDC. But how do you find TDC of the compression stroke
for the #1 cylinder?
One method I read about involved putting your finger in the spark plug hole
while rotating the engine crankshaft!
Thanks for any replies.

Explorer update in 1995- good? by
[email protected]
What's the consensus on the success of the changes Ford made to the
Explorer in 1995- were they good?
I'm shopping for an Explorer, and most familiar with the 1994 which I
really liked. It's going to be a secondary vehicle for use when I'm
going to drive gravel/dirt roads, a little bit of bumping...

Difference in engines? by
John Riggs
Can anyone tell me the difference in the 4.0L engines from the early
explorers to late model. I'm still fuzzy on this. It says 4.0L SOHC on a
2004, and it says 4.0L SOHC on my '92 EB. I noticed mine has the distributor
( if you can call it that ) to the rear, and the newer model has it to...

Greetings,
I stored my ipod in the glove box of my truck. When I opened it up,

flew up and behind the glove box. I figured it was just behind the
glove box. I opened it up, and looked behind but I could find nothing.
The...

I have a '95 Explorer, 6 cylinder with 100,700 miles on it. I have changed
the transmission fluid regularly and have had the system flushed out each
time. Is there anything I should be doing other than this? Does the
transmission need to be adjusted periodically or something like that? I
have...

Replacing CV joints on 96 AWD? by
bill
Just trying to get a feel for what I'm in for. Should I do this myself? Can
it be done without special tools? How much are the parts and what else do I
need to replace while I have it apart?
Thanks, Bill

94 muffler ? by
Henry Kolesnik
My daughter says her muffler is going out and is looking for a cheap
replacement as the vehicle probably won't last much over a year or two.
Midas quoted about $130.00. Are the mufflers welded on or are they clamped
and an easy replacement? I've searched the net a bit and see a Walker for
about...

OK. I am gonna guess that this question has been posted in the past, but I
can't find it so here goes....
1991 Ford Explorer Auto 4X4 EB
I have been told that the tranny in it is "not the greatest".
I don't have enough tools or skills to go to a C4 or "other" option.
I could probably R&R the 4ALD...

Transfer case chain wear ? by
Gerald Riggs
I'm going to be pulling both front and rear driveshafts out of my 97 5.0L
AWD X to get balanced and was wondering how I could determine if the AWD
Transfer Case Chain was worn. The X has 120k miles. Would be a good time to
do any repairs.
Thanks - Gerald
