Chrysler / GM to close dealerships. by Pete E. Kruzer[_2_]
One of the main reasons I chose the dealer I did for my PT Cruiser was for convenience of service. If they're closed, the reason is moot. Why can't they can turn themselves into service centers? http://www.latimes.com/business/la-fi-gm-dealers8-2009may08,0,1180804.story

Drooping headliner in minivan - what to do? by SemiMike
Both Chrysler minivans I have owned have had this problem! The headliner cloth has come loose over both the front driver and passenger seats, but nowhere else. My regular garage suggests a specialty car interior/headliner shop. Is there a cheaper alternative for a 10 year-old-minivan that I'll be...

E85: Can I use it? by Paul Johnson[_2_]
I'm a courier in the Portland area, and my delivery van is a 1977 Dodge Tradesman with a 5.9l 260inČ V8. It's starting to drive me bat**** with how much cheaper E85 is than E10 (gasoline sales have been banned here for over a year now), and it only gets cheaper and more available week after week...

Engine fell apart at 59k mi - Why I will never buy another Chrysler by [email protected]
I have driven Chrysler vehicles exclusively almost my entire life. Over the years, I've owned Dodges, Jeeps, Plymouths, Chryslers, and even an Eagle. Currently, my primary vehicle is a 2002 5.9L Dodge Durango. It has 59,000 miles on the odometer. A few weeks ago, it started running rough and...

2006 300 Front Brake Squeak by [email protected]
Hello, My friend has a 2006 300 with 26k miles. He has developed a squeaking noise when the front brakes are applied. I was going to apply some brake quiet to the back of the shims but found out that they are riveted to the pads. I think from what I remember the noise began when we had to...

Air Conditioning Fuel Consumption! by Denny B
Is it true that when you use Air Conditioning you get poor gas mileage? I was told this recently. It is the first time I have a vehicle that has Air Conditioning a 2006 3.3L Dodge Caravan. I am told when you turn on the Air Conditioning you can feel and hear "something" kick in, in the...

2004 sebring 2.4l 16 v engine 118000 kms on clock by aquatame
I have recently bought a 2004 Sebring with the 2.4L 16 V engine. I really like the car but have noticed a ticking noise which is worse when the car is warmed up. I am quite sure it is a cam follower. The car has been dealer serviced and the oil has been changed every 5000 kms.... Oil is still a...

GM to pull the plug on Pontiac by MoPar Man
Does that mean that any car maker can brand a car as a Pontiac? What is the status of Plymouth? If you're not using a brand name, can someone else? ------------------------------- http://money.cnn.com/2009/04/24/autos/pontiac_obit/index.htm GM to pull the plug on Pontiac

1997 Chrysler Concorde 3.5 Sudden Stall by [email protected]
I just had a rebuilt 3.5 engine installed in my 1997 Chrysler Concorde. After only 200 miles the engine has some stalling problems. When I'm stopped at a traffic light sometimes the engine will suddenly stall. There is no warning that the engine is about to stall - just suddenly stops running....

'95 LHS AC auto temp control by Itsfrom Click
gosh - do I dare post an AC question, lol???? OK - '95 LHS, 118,000 miles. compressor was replaced about 3 years ago and that's the only problem I've ever had with the AC. It can still make ice cubes.....but recently has a new quirk. Apparently, the auto temp control takes its cues from the same...

2003 Grand Caravan fronts disk brakes by cosza
I took the Van for service today. The dealer called me and said that my fronts disks and pad are 5%, basically finished. The milage is only 31000 Km (19375 miles). Seems kind of soon for this. What is everybody out there experiencing. Thanks

Order Of Error Codes by Michale
This is kinda strange. I am beginning to think it is a "Ghost In The Machine" issue. :D Anyways, I have posted about my error codes. If I recall correctly, the sequence of error codes was: 12 15 46 25 24 23 Now, 12 I know is a no biggie code. 46 came up only a couple times and I

2002 Caravan Ball Joints by Ken Kociolek
I was trying to shoot grease into the lower ball joints today and the grease wasn't going in. I unscrewed the grease fitting and found out that it didn't have a hole in it. In fact, it really didn't look like a normal fitting. Are these ball joints maintenance free or do I have to go out and buy...

I've replaced the ASD and fuel pump (and ASD) relays and also the coolant temperature sensor but the problem is still there. The van will crank but not start, usually in the morning. I have to turn the ignition completely off and then start it again. It usually starts then. Don't know what else...
