Recommendation on place to change timing belt? by
[email protected]
Hi,

on a place to take it for the timing belt/water pump change in
Chicagoland area. I called Schaumburg Honda and they quoted $1075!
Seems steep, but maybe that's how much this stuff goes for nowadays.
I prefer Dealer, but...

2004 accord - ATF and engine oil change by
Pszemol
Well,
I changed the ATF and engine oil this weekend on my 4-cyl accord coupe
as a part of the 60k maintenance.
This was my first time doing this with Honda Accord and it was much easier
than I have anticipated. Knowing that the oil filter is on the engine rear
side, next to the firewall (not...

Chris[_6_]
I would like to install a Cruise Control on my Element 2004 DX, AT4.
I am wondering if I could find one as used part from another Honda car.
I know this requires to change the steering wheel, in order to have the
control.
Is this accessory somehow preinstall in the car? (electric circuit, vacuum...

2006 Honda Civic Coupe gray interior; Interior Scratches too easily! by
Ying Yanged
I found that 2 of 3 the gray interior areas scratch easily. It doesn't take
much at all to scar them for life!
This would be the 2 gray roughed areas, as the third 'smoothed' gray areas
seems to be more scratch resistant.
The gray interior roughed door area surrounding the door handles as well...

Estimate to fix oil leak too high? by
[email protected]
I was just quoted $1,500 to fix an oil leak, they claim, after
dropping dye to locate leaks, I'm leaking from the following:
Reseal oil pan,
Replace Timing belt, water pump, and front engine seals,
Replace rear main seal.
OK, my car has close to 200K, but is it possible all spots are leaking

Sticky door handles on 2000 Civic Si (Canadian) by
MM
I've just bought this car and the handles on both doors don't work properly.
I basically need to push them back in every time after I've opened the
door.... I tried spraying some lubricant into the handle, but it didn't do
anything. I hope there is a way to fix this without taking the door...

Anyone used the new Mobil-1 ATF instead of Z1? by
[email protected]
Mobil-1 has a new fully synthetic formulation of ATF (not the syn-
blend multi-vehicle formula).
Going through the specs during recent discussions on ATF I noticed
that Mobil-1's new fully-syn ATF can be in Honda Z1 applications. So
instead of Dexron III in an emergency or even the Z1, people now...
