Group dead? by
XS11E[_1_]
Can someone play "Taps" over it please?
I blame Mazda, the first two versions of the Miata were more than cars,
they were almost like family pets, not always well behaved but lovable!
The third generation is a MUCH better car but.. a car amd nothing more
than a car. <SIGH>

Mazda MX-5 Miata
It's sexy and affordable. It corners on a dime, and with an impressive
reliability record, it's built to last. While it's not as powerful as
some affordable sports cars, numerous automotive experts say the Mazda
MX-5 Miata's nimble handling is great no matter what model year...

Maybe summer is over? by
XS11E[_1_]
Had the top down tonight coming home around 10PM. I wore a jacket, it
wasn't cold enough to really need it but it was more comfortable with
it than without.
First time I've worn a jacket since ????
Just checked the temperature, it was below 80F, too cold to support
human life! Damn, I'm...

WOW! New radio.... by
XS11E[_1_]
Just put the original AM/FM Cassette unit back into my Miata after my
cheap aftermarket unit died. It's about the only thing that looks like
it was made for the car and works.
I usually listen only to ESPN on the AM radio so I won't miss the FM or
the CD player but I will miss the larger cubby...

Shift boot replacement frequency? by
XS11E[_1_]
I've just ordered replacement shift boots, the little rubber on that
goes on the transmission, the larger one that goes on the floor and the
one that is visible inside. They're all bad, the inner ones are torn
and as for the outer one, the leather has become stiff and inflexible
and has...

Helpful video! by

You may never need to remove your engine from your Miata (or any
other car) but here's a method that's quick and works very well.

It's ALIVE! by
XS11E[_1_]
I'm amazed! I mail ordered a new battery for the 1992 Mazda Miata
knowing it would be almost impossible for me to install with arthritis
making both hands pretty non-functional but... no problem!
Fortunately, it's a small battery and not very heavy.
All went smoothly and I even had my letter...

Gone. by
XS11E[_1_]
Circumstances require I sell my house and move to an assisted living
facility and in the process unload everything except my minivan so...
the 1992 Miata is gone to a wholesaler for way too little. <sigh>
I'll miss the help I received here, thanks to all who contributed.
And where else could I...

Robbins top... AGAIN! by
XS11E[_1_]
Yesterday I found the rear window had separated from the top again,
this is the second time. Robbins replaced the top in September so it's
been 10 months, that's good, the first top only made it a couple of
days.
It's this...

Power mirrors on '92 Miata? by
XS11E[_1_]
I've got a mirror with a damaged base, works fine, looks bad. I checked
Ebay for a replacement and see there seem to be more power mirrors available
than manual and I can also get the switch but..... how much wiring is needed
to add power mirrors? I can't find any reference to them in the...

Idle speed? by
XS11E[_1_]
Sort of an odd thing... the Miata idles at about 1250rpm while waiting
for a light but if I put it in neutral the idle drops to a proper
750rpm or so. Doesn't matter if the clutch is in or out, it idles at
750 until I put it in gear, then it immediately goes to 1250.
Dragging clutch? Maybe? ...

Power Antenna? by
XS11E[_1_]
Looks like I broke the antenna on my 1992 Miata, motor runs, antenna
doesn't go up or down.
I went to my local dealer's website and it appears that Mazda no longer
sells the replacement mast, only the entire power antenna assembly, is
that...

Today, Mr. Postman brought me the recommended book "Mazda Miata

thanks a bunch to gixer who recommended it, it's gonna be a life saver
even though I'm probably not...
