RWD stick shift "family" car... and fairly recent? by ray

4bbl carb disable the secondaries by chevyengine
I would like to disable the secondaries on the 1979 Chevy 4bbl carb. I have not found any information on how it's done. I looked at the carb and saw linkage coming from the vacuum diaphargm going to the secondaries. Is this the linkage? Is there any information on how to disable the secondaries?

Rebuilt or new engine replacement? by [email protected]
The 350 cubic inch engine is blown in my 1993 Chevy 1/2 ton pickup. Should I put a new engine in, or should I have the damaged one rebuilt? I would appreciate your opinion and/or experience. Thanks.

Pressing in axle studs?? by Chief McGee
I just drilled out the axle hubs to 49/64ths. Now am going to press in the new 5/8" studs for racing. Question is: do I lubricate the serrations on the studs before pressing them into the holes? If so, with what? Or do I do it dry?
