noise while shifting gear from P to R, starting from a slope park by [email protected]
Hi everyone, I am driving a honda accord and lately noticed a noise when I shift gear from P to R. This only happens when I start the car from a steep parking area. The gear feels very heavy and a big noise comes out while shifting. It's not a problem when the car is parked in flat place. I am not...

My current car is old, at the end of its life cycle. I got a breakdown from metal fatigue. I got some rust. Parts are getting hard to get. This time I got lucky, my mechanic was able to fix it one more time. It looks this winter will be the smart time to take money I saved and buy a new...

My car has an analog temperature gauge. The reading is below 100F when the engine is cold, then climbs as I drive, but doesn't go much above 160F. Bad thermostat? But I have a receipt from the previous owner for thermostat replacement five months ago. I just got the car. Is the behavior of...

Do they still offer Ford Cougar in North America by aniram
I found Ford Cougar (2 door coupe, late 1990s to early 2000s) is one of the most beautiful cars. I know that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. So, some people may not like it at all. I seem also to notice that they do not sell very well in north america. Do they still offer the new model in...

1700lbs in a V-6 pickup? by Steve
Would it hurt to carry 1700lbs (of solid metal, literally) in the back of a V-6, 200 horsepower 1/2 ton pickup? I know that 1700lbs is more than 1/2 a ton, but I'm not sure if that's an accurate way to measure a truck's carrying capabilities. I know that I can tow more than 1700lbs...but is it safe...

Some are electric, some are hydraulic. Which do you have??? Haven't seen any hydraulic ones for awhile but you can tell them by the master cyl. on the tongue. Most modern day systems are electric. Let us know, we'll tell ya how they work.

EV "boost" half-baked idea by Pittsburgh
I'm a newbie interested in electric vehicles. I understand that the main motivation for these things is reducing emissions, dependence on petro, and in some cases being more economical. I was wondering if you couldn't just take a normal car that's FWD and add an EV "boost" type system onto the...
