Lock/Unlock Key Chain "Thingy" not working :) by Eric Holt
Wow, what a technical term I'm using, eh? Well, it works, but I gotta be real close to the car, and hit it 6 or 7 times. can I replace the battery myself? do I need to take it to the dealership? How do I go about changing it, if I can?

alternator question by dugb
Hi, I have a 92 sl2 with 85,000 miles. The alternator was replaced the first time at 60,000 miles and went again at 70,000 and again at 85,000. I know this subject has been reported many times on this news group but I have yet to see any solutions. Saturn had a recall (97-t-22)in June of 97...

Repair Prices Fair? Or should I move? by saturnsl1year96
I have an older saturn (96) and yes, for a complete tune up...I think it was at the 30,000 mile mark and it was $300.00. I thought that was a rip off at the time as well until we got our new Chevy.

Update on SES light lw300 by Oppie
After getting a P0495 code again (evap canister large leak) I changed the canister vent solenoid. Evidently cleaning out the old valve was not effective. New valve was about $20 from Saturn parts (not available on aftermarket). Took about an hour to install including getting the rear end up on jack...

Starter? by Chrisy
I have a 1998 SL2 that has 103,000 mile on it. The problem I am now having regards a starting problem. While the engine is cold, either in the morning or sitting at the office all day, I have no problem starting the car. If I drive it for more than a few miles, turn it off to go into a store for a...

SW2 windshield wipers are posessed by Nick
The wipers on my 96 SW2 with 60K are turning on all by themselves about once a week. Playing with the wiper on/off and delay switch doesn't seem to have any effect. Only way I have found to stop them so far is to shut the car off when the wipers are down. Anybody have ideas on a cause and/or fix...

rough idle question by Alan
I get rough idling on my 95 SC2 when I shift into reverse. It's a loud vibrating sound. In park, it's rough also but quiets down after its warmed up. In neutral and drive, it's idles ok and car drives fine. Tuned up about 30k ago so do I need another tune-up or something?

I have a 93 Saturn SL2 that started to make a vibration and low pitched noise when I turn left. I jacked it up and do get a slight amount of play when a grab the top and bottom of the wheel and try and move it. I don't seem to get any when I grab the front and rear of the tire and try to move it....

L300 wagon rumble by Art
My father bought a new L300 wagon with the V6 a few months ago. Nice car but the only thing I find obnoxious about it is the engine rumble when idling. Changing to neutral doesn't affect it. Turning off the ac doesn't change it either. It is a very loud low pitch hum thru out the car at...

98 SC2 Manuak Transmission Problem by projecti
The bottom half of the casting of my manual transmission shattered off while driving on the freeway. I assume something inside shot out, unless there was some type of extreme metal fatigue. Regardless, the speedo/odo are dead, but i have all the gears. I am going to try to swap it out with one...

Water in Dash by Jon H.
97SC2 Anyone ever have problems with water (you can hear it trickling when you accelerate or turn) in dashboard. No leakage, mold or mildew but what happens when it freezes???? (AC evaporator has been checked and drained). Any insight into this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Trunk Mounted CD changer?? Keeps changing, even when the car's off. by TSMANGOD
Hello, My '96 SL has a 12 disc CD changer mounted in the trunk. Sometimes, but not allways, if I leave the CD's in the unit, it'll keep switching between them, even when the car is off. Nothing else is on, in the car, but this thing keeps shifting through the CD's. Even if the CD holder is...

odometer backlight by Gary Klein
My '99 SL2 last night decided that the back light for the odometer was going to burn out . The dash light for the speedo and the tach are just fine yet. In proper light I can see the mileage and so forth so the odometer itself is not dead. Question is how much of an ordeal is it to get the light...
