Nissan Patrol by aniram
Does Nissan still make Nissan Patrol? Is the Nissan Patrol market limited to the other parts of the world, except North America? In North America, what the Nissan Patrol would be similarly called ? Pathfinder, Xterra, Armada or Murano? Just Curious, since I hardly hear this car since the late 1960s.

SAE Grade-8 bolt snapped @135ft/lbs by ultralight
I'm dealing with a critical application. If these fasteners fail, the results could potentially be fatal. I need maximum security. I've been torquing 1/2" grade-8 bolts to 135ft/lbs. Tonight, one of the bolts snapped in half while torquing. This made me rethink all the other bolts that I've been...

Shift rod modification by [email protected]
Good evening and Happy Holidays, Just a quick question. I am working on a friends mid 80's small block 3/4 ton 4X4 Chevy pickup. I have replaced his rotted out headers with a set of Hedman Hustlers that he came up with. The primaries are larger and differently configured and now the shift rod from...

96 Land Rover Discovery : Diagnosing High Pitched Squeal Wheel Noise ??? by Zach Bower
I recently purchased an immaculate 96 Land Rover Discovery Series 1 from the original owner. I noticed right from the beginning that occassionally I would hear a high pitched squeal coming from what sounds like either the left front or rear wheel. My initial thought was it was a bad wheel bearing...

Why by Dorothy Young
For many years, 4 wheel drives especialy suv's. All suv's genaraly do is same thing any sedan would do. How many drivers of suv's have put it in 4wheeldr and driven thru someone's property? Sounds like a good way to buy yourself much trouble. If you plow snow, 4wheel is mandatory. But how many...

03' Silverado 4x w/ 255/75R-16's and No Lift? by RWC
I want to get some ground clearance, but I'm not willing to spend $1800 minimum for a 4" lift. There is no smaller lift. I don't need a big flotation tire for sand or mud, I just want clearance for rocks on fire trails. The tire guys say I can replace my 245/75R-16's (30.7" tall by...
