TPMS Mystery Solved! by
alfred[_3_]
Okay, I know it wasnt really a mystery, but I took my 2008 Accord to the
dealer today and found out that apparently it is a common and known issue
for the TPMS light to come on during cold weather on the Accords.
Theres nothing wrong with it, its just more sensitive than maybe some other
cars...

91 Accord Fuel Filter question by
Rattus The RAT
I went to do my oil change at a cheap place and of course, as usual they
told me "everything looks great *EXCEPT*..."
This time it was my fuel filter, apparently it was real bad and there was
just paper inside of it and i'll ruin my engine in the next few days if I
don't change it. He said this...

91 Accord Heater Blower Motor Intermittant by
Mike
I have a 91 Accord 5 sp LX. The heater/AC fan blower was intermittant
when turned on - now it is mostly not working at all. The 7.5 fuse
(#8) under the steering wheel is OK, as is the 30 amp fuse in the
engine compartment.
I think there is a relay somewhere which could be bad. Does anybody
know...

How to enter an iced car by
[email protected]
I live just south of Lexington KY, and the
last 24 hors have been interesting. Areas
slightly to our north-west have record
snows. We had a mild ice storm last night.
About 1/4" of the clear crud. The local
power utility does a good job of keeping
trees cut back so we had no power outage.
Feb. 2003...

Have A Dead But Beloved 1988 Accord... by
Tazzy_Gal
What to do?
I have a 1988 Honda Accord Coupe who's engine seized nearly a year ago.
I need a new engine and a new transmission, which I could get, rebuilt.
The body is in good condition, but the seats are torn and I also would
be needing new A/C. Also needed would be a new windshield washer...

Replaced throttle position sensor- reset computer? by
fnord
I recently replaced the throttle position sensor on my '88 Accord.
According to a recent posting by Jim Beam about fixing TPS's, after you
replace it you need to reset the computer. How is this done? For that
matter, where is the computer?

2000 Accord EX-VL clear coat paint problem. by
[email protected]
Hi all,
I just wonder if anybody has encountered the following problems.
The front part of my Accord is covered with mud after lawn mowing a
few days ago
in the apartment complex and the fact that the ground is saturated
with water after
weeks of rain recently in Pacific Northwest. Upon removing...

Howdy, 2000 Civic 4 dr DX here, passenger side headlight lens cover is
looking scratched and getting opaque. I thought it might be some spray up
from road paint or other such thing and tried to clean with many solvents to
no avail. I've always kept a covering of rainx on it, if that...

94 Accord EX Head Gasket Replacement Question by
Gary Kaucher
94 Honda Accord EX - 300K miles
I replaced the head gasket, after "lapping to plate" both the head and deck.
I took precautions to remove as much of the abrasive residue as possible,
and after 110 miles I changed the oil and filter. The timing belt was
installed in the "same tooth" as before, and...

Excessive motor oil by
Neil Jones[_3_]
Hi,
I live in the US and drive a Honda Civic 2005. I have been going to the
local auto shop that specializes in Japanese cars for car maintainence.
These folks do a good job for the most part except for oil change. The
Civic manual says that it will take 3.4 quarts of oil but these
mechanics use...

Sports light on + shfting problem by
Fijoy
Hi all,
I have a 1991 Accord. The sports light comes on when I start the car,
and remains on, though the sports switch is in the 'off' position. The
acceleration of the car from a stop is much slower, and the
transmission is not shifting at all.
Has anyone had this problem? What is possibly...

What Is Term For Metallic Particles In Paint? by
Dick
We had some body work done on our 2003 Accord, and they did a poor job
of matching the colors between the hood and fenders. When I pointed
it out to the estimator, he said they must have used (too much or too
little) of the metallic particles. Causes the paint to reflect light
differently, and...

94 civix lx 176k miles on block, 80k miles on head that was planed and
checked out at the local parts store. I noticed the exhaust has white steam
coming out the tailpipe, looking like when the head gasket went. The head
is torqued properly.
Sounds like possibly a defective head? Shouldn't the...

Towing an Odyssey by
Chris Lamb
Want to pull an Odyssey behind my motorhome. I checked a couple RV
Magazine sites and Odyssey was not in their list. But neither was the
Civic and I tow that just fine. I don't want to have to do any
modifications to it, nothing more than the run it for 3 minutes every
8 hours routine.
