'07 Saturn Aura radiator fan continues to run by Shawn
I own a '07 Saturn Aura XR that has 155K miles on it. A week ago it started doing something strange. The issue I'm experiencing only happens about 60% of the time. What I've noticed is this - after I turn off the engine and remove the key, the radiator fan continues to run for about 3 to 4...

Who knew that MPG was in there somewhere? :) by No Name
Well - 2 weeks ago I got a speeding ticket with my '06 Vue for doing 78mph. Where I live (LI) that's the average speed everyone does and it was just my unlucky day to get singled out of the pack. I've been driving since 1987 and have never gotten a ticket before, so you figured he would have...

1995 SW1 manual transmission shift linkage problem by AJLCary
My 1995 Saturn SW1 has become increasingly difficult to shift. We thought it might be the clutch and replaced it. it hasn't solved the problem. Symptoms: Clutch has to jammed to the floor, and then the shift lever somewhat forced into gear. Most difficultly is with lower gears. When looking at...

Who Killed the Electric Car? by marx404
I just rented this movie, for those who don't know all about Saturn's EV1 project ( I didn't know much until seeing this movie and googleing for more info) it is a definite eye opener and very informative on where alternative powered car technology started and where it is going and especially what...

Vue instrument cluster by Leicaman
I have looked over the Vue and I tell you what, they really screwed themselves when they put that instrument pod in the center. I for one will not be going for my third Saturn ('93 SL2 and '99 SL2) this year. What on earth were they thinking. I know that there are several other cars that have...

Goodbye Saturn!!! :D by GoAwAy669
As of June 1st, I have officially preordered a 2005 Mustang GT, leather seats and all! Comes in early September. No more Saturn for me! :D My modified 1991 Saturn SL2 has been a bit of a roller coaster ride, lots of breakage, lots of problems, but I still had some great times with that car. Thanks...

1992 Saturn SL2 overheats like a bitch, any suggestions by jimjohnson
i drive a 1992 saturn sl2 twin cam. it has 106,000 miles, manual transmission. the oil is changed regularly and all fluids are topped off. however there is a problem with keeping the engine cool. whenever i idle for more than 10 minutes, the tempurture gauge almost reaches the red. also, when...

1997 SL2 rumble problem by MMoniker
Greetings! Might someone have some insights for me? They would be much appreciated! I’m the original owner of a 1997 Saturn SL2 with about 54K miles on it. For a number of years I have had a problem with a rumbling sound under the front of the car, which I’m not sure how to fully describe, but...

2000 Saturn Won't Go! by katastrophe
my acceleration went out on me this morning while i was on the freeway. When I went to step on the gas pedal, nothing happened. I let it sit for about 15 minutes, while it was running, and then I tried it again and it went for about 50 yards, and wouldn't go any more... It started to die when I...

Engine having trouble keeping steady coolant temp by MPost
I have a 1993 SC-2 with 105K on it. Up until now, the temperature gauge has always been quite steady in all types of weather and driving conditions, typically staying just below the mid-point, or just above it. I just noticed that the engine runs hot when I have the AC on (it goes over 3/4 of the...

"SERVICE" LIGHT by Frank Matthews
Hi, yesterday 'cause I have to go through inspection I changed plugs, pcv, and oxygen sensor, and added a quart of oil... 10w-40 (usually calls for 10w-30)... drove it out to mom's... fine... on the way home the "service" light comes on... all the connections seem good and it seems to run fine......

LW300 rear suspension by Oppie[_8_]
Bushings are starting to go in the rear trailing arms. Ordered new trailing arms at $350 each (ouch!) as the bushings are about $90 each by themselves, made more sense to get the trailing arms. This appears to be just a bolt-in vs bushings which need to be pressed. At about 160K miles, can't...

2002 Saturn L300 Warning Light by lesdolak
My warning light (the one with the wrench) comes on after about two hours of driving at Interstate speeds (75-80 mph) when I stop to pay a toll. The automatic shifting is then rough when I resume. When I park for a short time the light stays off and shifting seems normal. Anyone else experiencing...

96 SL-1 stumbles for a few minutes by Buster
Hi, I have a 1996 SL-1 manual with 120,000 miles on it. For about the first 5 minutes most mornings, it stumbles under medium load. Idles ok. If revved above 3500, it runs ok. But, when cruising down the road at 2000-2500 rpm, it will start to buck like crazy. I just downshift and drive at a higher...

$187 for a resonator? by Soars with Turkeys
Hi, Group, I'd like your opinion. Recently, my daughter took her 2001 SC2 (purchased new 3/2000, 43,000 miles) into our North NJ dealership for a noisy exhaust. It turned out to be a leaking resonator (it's located after the catalytic converter and before the muffler). They replaced...

Best tires to buy for SW2 by J B
About a year or so ago I read a thread on here that mentioned a tire that some drivers wanted to buy for their Saturns. Seemed the consensus was that brand was the best and helped make for a real smooth ride. Considering how low my SW2 sits I'd like to get tires that would help make riding in it as...

2005 Vue Daytime running lamps blink off by Shawn
Had the resister replaced twice. Seems when it's damp outside, the running lamps won't come on. The light flickers in the dash and then goes out. Any idea's. Saturn replaced the resister about a month ago for the second time, but it happened again the next day.
